yeah well Im having some trouble with my boost controller, I have been doing some research on it and it seems that Im not the only one that hates this thing. I cant boost over 21-22psi, I burnt through half a tank of race gas trying to push more then 18psi...lol...that sucked, and now im stuck at 22psi.

The auto maybe coming sooner than I think?
Is that Brandon's car from MPH??? The last time i raced him I had the auto and it was blowing through it. I had to let out to shift and i was about 250rwhp less than I am now.That is the only burgandy mustang i have raced.
That sounds about right. I ran him from about a 10 roll to ahh prolly 115-120 on 21psi cause I only had pump in it! It was a pretty quick lil car.

Brandon said he wants to re-run both of you guys... his car has changed in the past couple weeks... should be done soon... I think he's waiting on some fuel related items that GTsLoW is suppose to hook him up with. He can't run from a dig I don't think unless he sends his tranny off... it will shatter in peices if he runs from a dig without a doubt.

oh, rush, i used a profec b til it locked up, overboosted, and blew my engine. 31 lbs on a 24 lbs tune is not good!! new setup boost will be setup and controlled by the aem just like chris(aap) does with his race car. :D

I used to run a profec b on my 240. Its a cool, simple boost controller if youre running under 22 psi or so. Ive heard lots of stories of them going berserk and doing some unpleasant things over that. I run the AEM for boost control too, but it has its limitations...e.g. you have to have a laptop to change the boost (unless you toggle the program, which still gives you only 2 settings w/o a laptop.) Its also a big pain in the ass to get it setup properly.
I think one of the jap boost controlelrs...the blitz or the apex...has a gear dependant boost function also. I thought about trying one of those for a while.

whatup?!? i run the apexi on the sti. very nice unit but it is a pain in the arse with the wiring and all to run gear/speed dependent boost. but it does work very well indeed. the aem can also do this but it is just as involved :rolleyes:

Shouldnt have to worry about overboost on an AEM car. Just set the boost cut up on it and that will never happen. A 30 dollar boost solenoid w/ the AEM is a good way to go. Easy to setup and adjust.

i'd put good money on low to mid 140's. we have the same tranny and i trapped 10.7@131. 1/8th was a 7.07@107 with a 1.68 60 so i'd bet good money on the 140's unless you cut a 1.4 60 or something :2cents:

Yeah, I was messing around on hard tires this past weekend at steele, and ran a 11.2 @ 132mph with a 2.2 60ft.....lol
7.6 @ 108mph 1/8 on that same run on 22psi
I have cut a 1.4 on the 325's but I dont have them anymore which sux cause I could of easily been in the 9's

Dude, most of the cars in this thread are street driven cars that run 9's and 10's. We were all talking about getting out and running for fun, just for the heck of it. Give us some specs, I mean everyone knows what my car can do. The time I ran him, I was just running about 21-22psi about 500hp from a 10 roll and let off when I hit 3rd and had him by 7-8 cars. Why keep it on the "DL", thats like from the 90's when very few people had fast cars. Everyone shares what they have done to there car now days!

And when he raced you he had worn out OE tires, passengers (Qty: 2, plus him), full system, 2 big Autotek amps, 2- subs, and box. Another thing once his car heat soaks, it doesn't make the numbers it should. I know it will be a much better run... car went on a diet, tons more power, steeper gear, and it has a new set on lighter wheels w/ ET-Streets

I have seen plenty of 500-600hp Gt's(99-04) running 11's and 12's at best.
Im not downing the car at all, cause it is a pretty fast lil car, its just I was out minding my own buisness that night and everybody was trying to get me to race him and I said yeah thats fine, and they laughed when I said I wanted to go from a dig, cause its not common for supras to go from a dig, but I guess they just over looked the skinnies and 325 mt drag radials... I actually heard one dude go to brandon and say he wants to go from a dig and laughed and said you will kill him. Also I will always let the other person get the jump on me, just so there is no excuse's afterwards. So its just hard for me to hear that I was called out and then I had to hear excuses about everything that is wrong with the car before we raced... you know what Im getting at?
We all pulled over at a Gas Station and talked for a few minutes and he said so this car is making 800hp, and I said well yeah when im on race gas and nitrous but I was only on pump and 21-22psi, but he thought I was pushing 800hp that night before we raced!
Also, Brandon was a cool/good guy, he's just like a lot of my friends....

Let's just say, even if you do win from a dig, he's going to give you a damn good run with about half the power. It will be a very very close race... if I were a bettin' man really I don't know who I would put my money on!
When I raced him before,even from a slow roll I put a bunch of car's on him,and that was with the auto and alot less hp. It became useless to keep running him!
So even so if he has an extra 200rwtq that will put him at what 600 or a little more? He is going to need alot more than that to outrun me.The torque will get off the line ,but the Hp will keep you going,and he dosn't have enough of either! Hopefully he will bring it out to the MCE track day on the 18th, that way all the question's and answere's will be final.:cheers:

Rush - He has a ton of nut huggers, it comes along with the shop he works at... I'm sure you understand. He's ran it at the track a few times... no great times or anything, on the backhalf the car does very well... his short times weren't very impressive, but for a small cubed, non-intercooler, centri blower'd setup on 8lbs of boost, whadaya expect?
Hunter - the same year car/w/ new setup and without running nitrous is in the 9s, the car has 3 passes on it, first time it went to the track, and this was Commerce, not SDR... it went 9.89 @130, 9.71 @131, and 9.72 @133 So, even if he runs a half second slower he's going to give you a good race :tongue1:
He wishes Ford made a 377ci mod motor :lmfao: and he just told me to put up "wait til he bust a 1.30 sixty foot off in your ass!!"

That's right, those car's do weigh nothing when lightened up,but i also put my car on a diet also with some suspension.I hope to get into the 1.50 60ft. time's myself,if the 6 speed will be up to the task?It will be fun. I am just giving brandon a hard time.
Those time's you posted above,were they with brandon driving?

Actually i am going to see will about the th400 today. I want to see if I can afford it by the time the mce event get's here. If not i will just use the 6 speed!
