alright i polished these wheels
and dont get me wrong i love everything about them
but they a a bittchh to keep up with
they get dirty within like minutes
i knew it would be bad but not this bad
and i got bored of them never looking good cause they were always dirty
so i have 2 options right now
some kind of dark glossy red with a high gloss black lip
or time attack colors..black with a red lip
or any suggetions would be nice
here is the car and wheels as they sit now

keep them polished. get the rest of that red stuff out, then make sure they're how you want, AND THEN CLEAR COAT THEM <most important step. a shot of clear helps keep them alot cleaner and alot of people who polish their wheels seem to miss this step. Keep you a bottle of Dupont Teflon Wheel Cleaner (I swear by that stuff) and that will help keep the brake dust off.

i clear coated them when i first finished and tried in every way to make the look good
but it took away from the finish so much it was stupid
ended up having to start over on that wheel
everyone in the polishing thread on ht said not to clear them too but i tried it
no good

I clear coated my wheel and it turned out great! I didnt have polished so you'd have to layer it up and buff it out to make it bling. Hold on i'll see if i can find a good picture of mine...

Check these out. Not the best lighting but you can kinda see. These were painted and cleared with Duplicolor wheel paint/clear

well the thing is the clear coat doesnt want to stick cause its a mirror surface instead of paint
so it comes out really bumpy and i tried wet sanding and buffing the clear coat and no change
i used duplicolor clear coat and it just wasnt to supposed to stick to this kinda surface i guess

if you do paint, I'd say go with gold or bronze. why red? gold/bronze with the polished lip would look pretty good IMO

boo at time attack

i say do that hyper blue color, its kinda popular but not YET overplayed.

or just keep them polished. they are gonna get dirty either way.
