negative camber "suppose" to get make your car handle better, but too much of a good thing is never good.

Car looks good beside the camber.

yeah negative camber is good for handling up to a certain point...too much is just pointless...but in his case i think he needs it so he can run the wheel and have no fitment problems...

I HATE the slammed out cambered out cars. But the CCW Classics look good on ANY car. That car would drive like sh*t with that camber and ride height. Too low leaves no room for suspension travel and that much camber the car would never roll over onto the contact patch of the tire.

That thing looks siiiiiiiiiiiiick. It is VERY nice. Like someone else said, he's using the camber to make the wheels fit. He's probably not concerned with how the car will handle....

wheels look like ****

I love CCWs, but on an integra with that much camber makes it look like a Vato lowrider or a broken down POS

If this is "HONDA-TECH" status, their bar isnt too high

Dont take this the wrong way homie but:

Whats so different about this? the car rides like **** and the wheels stick out 4in ? Mexicans been doing that for YEARS :)

The wheel setup is HIDEOUS IMO. The wheels are nice but the stance is UGLY. Its not needed, and the hammered on the ground **** is getting RETARDED.

10-23-2007, 05:17 PM
looks like to me everything is tight and just perfect:thinking:lol...there's less contact on the rear than a 185 tire...a DC2 with a stiff suspension and even just a stock 14mm GS-R rear sway with anything less than a 205 in the rear will come around on you. Plus it's too low, if you got under and looked at the lower control arms you would see it's working against the suspension, not with it.

I can guarantee you that car handles like crap but to most people that don't know any better or how to really push the car it would drive like a go-kart.

Ditto. That setup is purely for looks. Being that low and having that much camber the car will handle like pure ****. Hell i wouldnt wanna drive it hard, you hit a bump in a corner with that and your ****ed. It looks good, but at the same time looks stupid to me.

SiRed94
11-27-2007, 10:39 AM
Riding on your inner sidewalls can't be good for handling.

uhm... when you go into a corner almost all of the surface area of the outside tires will be in contact with the ground with a certain degree of negative camber...

SiRed94
11-27-2007, 10:43 AM
and being slammed does not **** up handling... as long as you have shocks that you can adjust the stiffness and that can travel enough for proper bound and rebound at the level they are dropped to...

I completely disagree. Once the car gets so low you have completely ruined the suspension geometry. Its not all about travel and rebound. Just because you have a full coilover and damper thats adjustable doesnt mean you can slam or raise it to just rediculous limits and expect it to handle good. How many cars like that do you see at the track? How many people who really run the touge do you see setup like that..........none.

ok... considering his fenders just barely cover the tops of the tires (he just has small tires)... just about every car in the scca, atleast in the gt3 division, looks like this... and yes as long as the piston inside the shock absorber has enough room to travel effectively with enough pressure beneath it to allow for proper bounding and rebounding and everything else is in line, the geometry of the suspension is fine for a track/touge car... and just about every pro drift car looks like this... and all of the major tuners on JDM Option/ Chasing the Touge look like this... but we are all entitled to our opinions...

that car is not THAT low. a proper set of coilovers allows height adjustment independent of travel, therefore allowing you to drop the ride height considerably without shortening the shock's travel. there are also such things as adjustable suspension arms and bump steer adjustments to tune the suspension and steering properly even with a low ride height.
