any leaks? Floorboard wet?

Anti-freeze runs through your heater core.

plus if you can smell anti-freeze at all, means you did not dilute it with enough water.

if you dont buy 50\50, you have to mix it with water.

He didn't say top it off. If you don't buy the pre-mixed antifreeze, then you have to dilute it with water. Means if its pure antifreeze, put water in it!

No matter what the water to coolant ratio you are running is you should NOT smell any coolant. There is a small leak in your heater core. It is going to get worse so don't be surprised if it does not come pouring out on to the floorboard one day.

Exactly what he said.

what I ment to say was that antifreez should not have a strong enough smell to notice, even if you are smelling your radiator, unless its not diluted at all. Then it has a faint smell of toxic waste.
