Soooooo i finally get my car running again late last night.
Started it right up, runs like a champ. Idles so much smoother than the V8 rumble it had before. :goodjob: sounds more like the decently cam'd, nicely tuned B20vtec that it is.
walked outside to crank it for the first time today (after i got back from church)... annnnd it's misfiring. Like a cylinder has no compression, spark, or is being flooded.
pissed, i immediately replace the cap and rotor, plug wires and pop some brand new Denso plugs in there. (keep these items in stock in my storage shed, lol)
doesn't change a thing, however, i do notice that cylinders 2, 3, and 4 have an enormous amount of soot on them. Which would cause me to think that perhaps some debris has been caught in there (they're the first 3 coming from the fuel filter). Cylinder 1 plug is still nice and clean.
Naturally, this would happen to me.
They are MSD370cc injectors, has anyone had one (or more) go static on them at the same time? lol (which is another reason i believe it to be debris clog)
I have checked:
Spark (all 4)
Ignition TDC (just fine, the rare miss)
Fuel pressure (set to stock, but replaced with stock reg. for troubleshooting reasons)
Compression (280 across the board @ WOT, no exceptions)
