Like it? Personally I do, but I have been a fan of the new Si sedans since they first came out.

The one big downside to this car is its price, around 30k I believe.

It is supposed to be going for "under 30k" meaning probably around $29,999. That is what I read.

The suspension has also been redone, along with the bolt ons, bodykit and spoiler.

I agree somewhat, but I think it's still pretty badass that they're even selling the MUGEN edition of a car over here, state-side.

IMO i would'nt buy this mugen wing its ugly and dosnt really help out a FWD car..
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e273/caseygw/misshift.jpg

And about this wing, I don't think Mugen would sell that if it didn't work.

Every piece of aero that Mugen designs is wind tunnel tested so it is infact very functional.........

Speaking about things you have no knowledge of is FTL.............

It'd be a disgrace if the aero parts didn't work, since Mugen's owner is Soichiro Honda's son lol...Plus, that's a really popular spoiler for integras when it comes to roadracing, so what does that say?

It is under 30k
The suspension lowers the vehicle by 15 mm with highly aggressive spring and damper tuning for enhanced handling performance. The full-vehicle aero-package adds a front spoiler and sports grille, side spoilers, a rear diffuser and an adjustable rear wing. The lightweight, Mugen –forged aluminum wheels measure 18 x 7.5 inches and include high-performance 215/40R18 rubber.

I like the new Si sedans, I would buy one if I could afford it. Then I would just put the Mugen bodywork on it. No need to pay 30k for a car that definitely cannot keep up with other cars that cost the same.

UpSideDownDesi
10-23-2007, 03:41 PM
looks hella good and i am sure fun to drive too, but not worth 30k. I'll wait till i see one at a auction or one that's about to get repoed...then jump on it.

yeah. we're lucky if we even get the same engine as JDM models.....

the next time honda wants to give us a sport model civic, they should put some better suspension rather than the mugen .5 in drop springs that consumers are paying so much for when they buy this

this is kind of a repost Coolcat, not exactly, but hey who's counting?

Its pretty cool, but not as cool as the 2008 (or 2009 depending on the source) Civic Type R sedan.

It is under 30k

Unfortunately your wrong...its more than 30k because we just got one in at work that we just did a PDI on. The sticker is more than 30K. You guys would not believe the cost of the parts individually.

kppk1986

ehhh a civic with some bodywork and light suspension mods is not worth over 30k. For that price id go for a sti.

WTF is Honda doing?!?! the price of these new cars are ****ing disappointing. Its either the styling sucks, it has more power, but its to compensate for the added weight or it falls further behind from the competition. :(

coolcat
11-17-2007, 08:34 PM
I think the motors have been re-tuned, I could be wrong on that though. It is a bit of a dissapointment that it's going to be only slightly better than a regular Si sedan, for a lot more money.

07civicsi4dr
11-17-2007, 09:18 PM
no motor difference just 18s instead of 17s the body kit the rear diffuser and a twin ring motegi track tuned suspension and an adjustable spring dampner and its lowered 15 mm

JDMJorgie
11-17-2007, 10:52 PM
Good car but not worth $30,000 even with all the Mugen parts. I doubt that the suspension, body parts, and badges can bumb up the price to nearly 40k from a regular Si sedan. Although that Fiji Blue Pearl paint job does look sweet. Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked about Mugen officially teaming up with Honda; but it kinda takes away from the exclusivity of the company. I use to think that having a Mugen exhaust or even something as little as some reservoir covers set you apart from the rest, but now it seems as if any Joe can go out and get "Mugenified" and not even know what he has. I just think Mugen's luster will inevitably dull after this. :2cents:

07civicsi4dr
11-17-2007, 11:22 PM
but the fiji blue is available on all the new si's so thats nothing special but the msrp on the mugen si is 29500 and yeah all the badging and the body kit and the suspension and the wheels and all that priced out at retail would bump the price up 8k if all purchased seperatly

the car is not more than $30k maybe after taxes and options and ****. The only reason it would be in the 40's would be b/c a dealer is gouging the hell out of it. Its nice but more like a $22-25k price tag. $7k more and you got a CR!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still getting over Si's as a Coupe again, the last Si coupes were not terribly pretty, these look alright (although I see them literally everywhere) and I just feel like something's missing without an Si Hatch. The new Type-R turns me on all over though.

looked at one right next to a regular si
si - 22k, mugen - 32k
for 10 grand, you could easily make the regular si eat the mugen

what is nice, for 36k -
s2000 cr (club racer), lol window sticker had a warning that the tires may not last 10,000 miles. factory drag radials. but no ac/radio :( but that thing rocks, ha ha i almost thought about getting it but kinda impractical since i do not seriously track race so dont need a expensive car with no amnemities (sp)

got one of each at my new job, grainger honda in sav
