Ok this is going out to no one in particular; so this not a subtle call out to anyone as I don't really have anything going on right now on my thuggery schedule. It's just an overall observation I've made in my career as an forum poster. And these aren't comments that were necessarily directed to me. I see lots of people get these words.

Why is it that people always try to relate high post counts with not having a life? Or that there is always a fat ass or nerd that is on the computer? Or that he lives in his parents basement? How is this supposed to be an insult? Anyone have answers?

Later, QD.

When you haven't gave them any material to use, they use that. They simply have nothing better to say.

Well for the first time in a while, I have an empty slate. Lolol. I guess, I'll have to fire my secretary, Maniac, since business is slow. Later, QD.

Just as you did, let me start this with a disclaimer. This reply is not directed at you. Nothing I say is even necessarily what I feel is true, just what I would perceive people in general think. There are exceptions to everything.

In general, the more posts you have, the more time you spend online (the exception being people who constantly post useless, thoughtless things that can be typed in a matter of seconds). The more time you spend online, the less time you can be productive (i.e. get out of the house, have a good job, enjoy physical activity, meet girls, etc.). This is where the "fat ass, nerd who lives in his parents basement" comes from. It's a stereotype, of course it's true sometimes, but not every time, if even the majority of times.

It's an insult because almost no one wants to be thought of as a "fat ass, nerd who lives in his parents basement." Or at least I don't.

Edit: I also believe that it's about as weak of an e-attack on someone as calling them out on a typo, claiming they can't spell.

You asshole. Logic has no place in the WL. Lolol. But what you said is pretty much true. I do hold a lot of weight to the other reasons given. The ones where the people are getting bested and have nothing else to come up with so they tell you to quit masterbating to gay porn. The ****?

Edit: I also believe that it's about as weak of an e-attack on someone as calling them out on a typo, claiming they can't spell.

**** yeah! I tout my vast cornucopia of knowledge a lot and I love it when I type a word like, cenrtal for example and someone comes back with something like:

"Damn for you to be so smart and all, you sure can't spell worth a ****...go back to grammer school."

Spell worth a ****? There's a difference in typing fast and getting 2 letters backwards and completely annihilating a word. And then notice, that they misspell the word grammar. Lolol. Later, QD.

I'm sure people on here play more World of Warcraft than other people have spent on here posting

It's just all on how you want to spend your time I guess...

Lets say you avg 5 posts a day... and you troll the IA forums for 3 years
Thats 5,475 posts. Thats a lot of posts... but did you really waste your life, no, not if during those 5 posts somebody made you laugh or you learned something. And 5 posts doesn't take very long.

And 5 posts doesn't take very long.

No it doesn't. I have 40k posts in 6 years. And even with my posts being more than one word posts, it's easy to rack up a good 15-20 posts in an hour. You don't have to spend 13 hours a day to make a multitude of posts. Later, QD.

I got 7 70s. Join the club. All geared out. It's only a waste of time in the eyes of someone who isn't into it. You don't have to time sink your life to get good stuff and level fast. You just have to know how to play.

In defense, the spelling thing is actually worth noting if said person spell the same word wrong post after post after post and tries to use it as a pivitol point in his arguement. Then he's a moron.

I pointed at a while ago the formula for hating on QD, post count is usually one of the first things they hit on. IDK about you QD, but my post count makes me feel worthless, even though I am out doing things all the time I have 17 posts per day. :???:

QD being that you are wise beyond your years, makes it easy to understand your frustrations when it comes to thing that are said around here. I've notice that noobies usually are the ones who get things that happen on here misconstrued although I have also seen some that have been here for a while do the same thing. Maybe its just the lack of understanding, knowledge, or just taking things said on IA to seriously, I have gone through this phase especially with you but I learned quickly that this is just QD or better yet IA. Hopefully this gave some sort of answer to you query.

Later, QD.For the same reasons people watch Jerry Springer or Maury. If you're just like them, then their life isn't so bad. Their life’s accomplishments can fit inside toilet bowl and be gone with one flush. By making basic assumptions about someone they can't see or have ever met, gives them a false sense that they know who you are and what you're about.

People assume I'm a fat, old guy..............Errrrrrrr

I could careless when people bring up my post counts. Most of the time they have nothing to say or just browse, is it my fault that they only post once a day? No. In 1min you can post twice, due to the 30sec rule. Think about it, that means that in 5mins you can already have 10 extra posts.

Unlike alot of people here I do have a life. I usually only post in the mornings and afternoons. I hardly post at night, thats when my life starts. So poeple that stay home, at night are the ones "imo", lifeless nerds. Which some may not be, but while other people are having fun they're at home online.
