:dunno: I have a friend with an 86 honda prelude he wants to bring back to life. I cannot find any info an a swap for his car. I have done swaps on the 92-95 civics but nothing earlier.
Does anyone know what fits and complications with the older swaps? Or should he just try and get his engine rebuilt?

any help would be greatly appreciated and + reps!!!1

there is alot of people that can rebuild it. look in the sponsor section. one question you may want your friend to ask himself:

Is this a car you really want to keep?

Rebuilding it correctly will be in the thousands.

for performance wise, it will be limited since its OBD0.

yeah checked it out. theres a lot of info there.

i havent got to see his car yet but from what he is describing to me it has the black top fuel injected engine in it 2.0l si. from what i have read it is the rare 160hp one.

I think he may just want to go back stock if he keeps the original motor. hey vuong how much would it cost to rebuild it back stock? he says it was running and had low compression.

just do the fuel injection swap and put an f22 in it or a 91 si injectted ingine

If it has the B20, keep the b20 and boost it. If it has the A20 like my car keep the A20 and boost it. Any swap can be done for the right amount of money, but why not have the only one of something for that same amount?

I like the boost idea, but I dont know which way he will want to go with it. I just wanted to get some ideas for him and help him out cuz I think it would be cool to get involved in something different for a change. I always had 92-95 civics so this has cool factor to mee! even if he goes back with a stock 160hp engine. I didnt even realize they made any of the older hondas with that much hp stock!
