There has been a long standing debate on whether 4 cylinder vehicles have HEADERS or just a HEADER. The word is automatically plural just like pants, or panties, or socks. Given that the header is made up of more than one piece. or has more than one tube. just like pants have more than one leg, panties are on more than one floor, and socks come in pairs. Hope this clears things up...

v8, a pair of headers... one header on each side

inline motors have a header, v configuration motors have headers its real simple i dont see how ppl screw that up....you dont stick your cocks in a vagina so why put headers on an inline 4

There has been a long standing debate

Actually, this has NOT been a debate at all. There is no such thing as a "set of headers" for a 4 cylinder car. You can't debate that. Even if it is a 2 piece or whatever, both those pieces combine to make one header. It goes along the same lines as people referring to their driver's license as "them." I hear people refer to t"them" all the time and I think, "Damn do they have more than 1 license?" Later, QD.

i actually had 2 licenses at one time....it is possible, if you have a learners permit for a motorcycle and a permanent drivers license they cant put a m validation on the c license if the m is a learners.....therefore giving you 2 separate licenses.....but thats neither here nor there

and since noones brought up the proper grammar side of this the the 's' in headers show plurality...meaning more than one....since inline motors only have one there is no need for the s.....end of story

p.s., they're not tubes, theyre called runners

Several of us brought that fact up. Later, QD.

Every time I see a 4-cylinder driver refer to it as headers, I almost **** a brick.

It's one thing, how is it plural??

x2 on the license one too. :goodjob:

Ive never heard anyone refer to their license as them.

Im just used to referring to a 4 cyl header as headerS cause i grew up in an 8 cylinder world

i thought runners were only on an intake manifold. either way, 4 cyls have a header.

as said many times before it is SINGULAR for 4 cyl or inline 6

a header is the entire unit not just one runner

lol...I was wondering if there was a debate?

There was misunderstandings and misuses of the words, but it's a clear matter.

Header for MOST 4 cylinder cars (all Honda 4 cylinders for example) Boxer 4 cylinder car (i.e. WRX) have two separate headers. Inlines=singular v's=two.
