Anybody got any good recomendations for a cabin in helen? I'll be on leave from Iraq soon, and wanna spend a day or so in Helen. Any good ideas? Also different things to do?

stay in blue ridge.... quieter there....

then make the 45 min drive to helen to spend the day...

no problem.. it's a pretty drive...

and it's an extremely curvey rd so... take something you'll enjoy driving!

There are so many nice cabins in Helen that it isn't even funny. You can pretty much stay at any of them. They all seemed to be about the same.

then make the 45 min drive to helen to spend the day...Yup.. My wife and I rented a cabin up there not to long ago and were extremely pleased.

We had one last night, neighbor bought a projection dvd player and an 8ft screen. We had a fire and watched Wild Hogs outside..:goodjob: :goodjob: Tonight I'm heading to Athens for a party.

Are you actually wanting to stay in Helen for a reason (Oktoberfest, etc) or are you just wanting to get away in the mountains? My parents are owners at the R Ranch and I'm sure my dad would let you go up there.... it's in Dahlonega though

hells yeah get a cabin so that way you can walk your dunk ass back to your room for the night after visiting all the bars lol
