took pics of this yesterday with cell camera. it was getting an audio install done. its supposed to be #37 of only 100 authentic Nismo nissans built for the U.S. the guy bought for his teen daughter as present. still got the drive out tag on it.

Town Center Nissan had two or three. Why the hell would you swap the rims? The ones that come on the Nismo Edition are forged by Rays.

Kris, how much faster is the Nismo edition?

how much faster is the Nismo edition?Pretty sure there are no horsepower upgrades aside from the exhaust. The major differences lie in the suspension, reinforced chassis, aerokit, wheels and interior.

While the car does get new suspension tuning, Brembo brakes, and NISMO exhaust, the 350Z's 3.5-liter V-6 sits unmodified at 306 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. The stock car's six-speed manual transmission and viscous limited-slip differential also go unchanged.

sexy car :idb:

i didnt like their offset, and the fact that they were 18's... however the 2006 Nismo 350z came with better offset LMGT's and they were 19's......

had i been in your place.. i wouldnt have touched a thing.. and i sure as hell wouldnt have ****ed with the 17's.. i would have slapped some 18'' track edition wheels on it atleast...

or my all time favorite.. the Volk SF challenge in 19'' of course

i raced a guy that came from mass, in a blue 350z, borla TD exhaust, same intake i have, JWT cams, worked heads...

he never dynoed the car he says... but he pulled me 5+ from 70- 150

Was this when your car was running at its best? If he put 5+ cars on you it must have been pretty damn quick, are those that cams that lets you redline at 8k or around there? I remember you telling me somthing about that.

uhh.. no... 8k? on the original VQ35? never gonna happen

yeah, my car was running at its best, he pulled me 5+... it was kinda even till at about 100-110... he'd jump out a fender length between shift of 3rd to 4th.. then he pulled good in 4th.. and some more in 5th

So what were you talking about when you said being able to rev higher? Or were we talking about something else? Either way, it must have been real quick to pull that much on you. He also must have been one of those Z guys that actually knew how to drive his Z.

i was talking about the Vq35HR the new motor being revved out to 8,000rpm with Esprit cams and Esprit tune in japan.

new VQ35HR ftmfw.... im still thinking about trading for that beast..

however with a UTEC you can raise our VQ up to 7200, from 6500.

Actually there are only going to be 600 made for the states and 1000 total around the world. We had four of them at my work and are waiting to get the last 2. Still why would you give up the nismo rays eng. wheels for something like those? And the real kicker is that the car only has a nismo tuned catback. It still has the stock intake and everything. The car still makes the same power. The real difference is that the nismo cars have the whole chassis where all the spot welds completely welded up. They also have like four more chassis braces on them aside from the wheels, body kit, and the plaque on the console.

The new Nismo Editions are the standard VQHR from the 07 350Z, nothing engine wise is different, just suspension and bodykit, well and a number plate.

The VQ35DE can wind up to 8000RPM in fact one is winding up to 8400RPM currently, but you need to have worked heads and a correct valve train/cams to make power or any use of it.

Bumping your cars redline to 7200 won't do much unless you have done head/valve/cam work. You won't net anymore power but you may put yourself higher in the RPM range in the next shift, which is debateable whether it is worth it or not.
