Completing my GA motorcycle safety course and thus getting my motorcycle licence!!!

Cant wait- gotta leave in a couple hours for my first class tonight, then 2 more all weekend.

Bought a helmet the other day as well, Scorpion EXO400 in silver. Was going to buy the EXO700 but they were out of the black/silver in my size- oh well.

Hopefully be purcashing a bike soon, just waiting on my student loan to arrive :goodjob:

the class is awesome! I took mine at honda.
The one thing that a few people in my class had trouble with is the figure 8. It was fun to me tho. Just look into turns and NEVER put your eyes down they will yell at you. Have fun!!

So far, the class is going great! Rode my first motorcycle today and it went really well. Tomorrow we do a few more exercises and then have a rider evaluation and then a written knowledge test, after that, we get our licence!

Now I just gotta get my damn student loan in the mail and then find me the right bike, its killing me right now not go riding on my step-dad's bikes (since im at home) but without him around and only have ridden a 125cc bike thus far, i think something with 1100-1300cc might just have to wait a few more days, hahahaha.

Yeah when I get my bike I may take that course. When I had my bike before I didnt get the license, Didnt feel I needed it...LOL

But I should have mine now Mid September, Was hoping for August but have to wait a few extra weeks. But I may find a new '05 at a great deal since it will be fall by then.

Well besides just a good, easy way to get my licence, my insurance is lowered by around 50%... that alone was worht it to me.

might want to re-check that eli, it's not 50% off......it takes some off, but not half off, are you insuring it under your parents?

Smart move Eli. You're starting out right. What kinda bike you looking to get, cuz that'll affect what kind of insurance you'll pay. Street bikes/cruisers are cheap, but if you're looking to get a sportbike, expect to pay a lot. Like Peter said, the safety class will help, but for sportbikes, I doubt it'll be 50%. If it is, lemme know what insurance company you got, cuz I wanna switch too, lol.

No, its literally around 50%...maybe 40-45% but real close to half. I did a quote with Progressive, under my name, with my 2 tickets, 18 year old male (19 this week though) for a Suzuki SV650, the bike Im looking at purchasing once my money comes in.

ANYWAYS- I graduated and have a motorcycle licence!! I actually did the best in the class, only one to recieve a 100%, which was kinda cool considering I have no idea how to ride and never done it before, and people in my class had their own bikes and a few had been riding for quite sometime.
