Ok, so we get the call that KONIG wants us to pimp Dans car out and put it in their booth for SEMA.

Well we felt it would be cool to show you what we are going through to get the car done, especially since most of you wont be going. So this is a piece of SEMA coming to you so to speak.

Dan has been doing the wiring harness for the last few days, i dont even know where to start.

Hes been cutting a bunch of wires out, almost 200, so the car will only run on what is absolutely neccesary and make the wire tuck that much easier. TO give you an idea of what a project it is:

Got the car back from Primer and installed the motor late last night after cleaning it.

right now the inside is getting painted.

we aren't going too hard on the quarter panels, just the roofline, tomorrow.

car is getting full Bmagic widebody and kit courtesy of www.aitracing.com , baller ass sweet ****ing paint (BASF Paint) , full Percy's Speed Glass treatment, and new Konig Wheels, as well as the old srtwanky getting cleaned up a little bit, and brightened up.

Fruit loops kick ass by the way, you knock fruit loops again i'll knock you in the eardrum so hard with my armpit you get castrated.

Also the car isnt as clean as that 1st pic, it has hit several walls since then. We had to replace the radiator support, we kinda tubbed the front of the car (moved the strut tower reinforcement up about 2'' for wheel/tire clearance) , Dan welded all of the firewall shut, we had to redo a lot of the trunk thanks to "Wild and Childish" Bill Sherman, and I caught the door on fire.

I'm gonna start posting funtime updates every day on my lunchbreak and after work.

So the interior and the engine bay got painted last night. It will be the same gray that we have always had. It looks great! The orange that we picked out is pretty bass a$$. I will see if I can get Mike to run over and take pics of that before they start to paint the outside. Also, the outside won't have black on the top like it used to. It will be all one color.

My car will be blue with bass boat flakes. That won't happen until after SEMA. Mine is going in the Maxxis booth the way it is pretty much...with some freshening up of course.

Dan has been doing the wiring harness for the last few days, i dont even know where to start.

Hes been cutting a bunch of wires out, almost 200, so the car will only run on what is absolutely neccesary and make the wire tuck that much easier. TO give you an idea of what a project it is:

I am not trying to be "mean" but from some of the videos I have seen and the speeds you guys hit...

That is one scary cage...

Just doesn't seem to have any necessary safety features that a competition cage should have. For a street cage or maybe an HPDE car It would be fine but since you guys really push it you might want to get that updated.

On another note. Fun to rebuild a car sometimes :)

It's a legal cage. We don't really get above 80 on the entry and that is kind of rare (much slower on the rest of the course). We never even got above 70 at NOPI this year (Formula D is a little higher). It also has door bars welded in as an extra safety feature. I know what you mean and we will work on another cage soon. We are in a hurry for SEMA right now.

Yah. Just keep in mind "legal minimum" and "safe" usually aren't even close. Use the rules to your best and make the safest cage :)

motor is in. everything is -10 or -6 earl's kevlar.

hopefully the car will move under its own power again tomorrow. i think were tryign to finish wetsanding, make the exhaust, and do some other crap.

It's not free hand. He uses vinyl, but the final product is amazing.

yea i used vinyl to make most of it. but thats the only way to get a hard line. everyone does it so no biggie. alot of the accents are freehand.
