Ok my car's overheating because I think it blew the aftermarket radiator hose...

The problem?

I can't get my ****ING hood open. I tug and tug on the release, and I hear it click, but it will NOT open for anything. Short of sawing the hood in half, any advice on how to get it open? If I fcuk up the cable it's not a big deal cause I'll do pins....

Please give me some advice ASAP!

Can you not find the cable release from underneath?

S13... you might be able to just take off the 3 bolts holding the latch down... or get another person to lift of push down while you pull the release cable... if all else fails... add gas and match to hood

did you pull the release then yank the hood up hard those latches suck ass also try what was mentioned before push down on hood while yanking the release

if you can jack the car up high enough you might be able to get to the latch bolts to undo them

i had a similar problem in my first 240, i had to stick a screwdriver through the gap between the hood and the bumper up front to lift the lever inside and release the latch

Still haven't gotten it open. Have tried the push down while a friend pulls on the cable trick.

All that did?

The cable is now completely loose and the hood popper thing is sitting on the driver's side SEAT, while still attached to the cable and running under the fender and under the hood and still attached.

It's not ****ing budging.

And did I mention that the car has an S15 front with a cf hood? Yeah all those screwdriver ideas are pretty much negatory, and with the combined "wedge"ness of the bigger radiator and S15 front/body kit/bar/headlight wiring, I can't get in there with a wrench or ratchet.

She's going to the nissan dealership tomorrow and they can figure the **** out.

:rage:

And to top it all off, I think under the hood is a carnage fest involving a blown headgasket.. every time she starts, I got white smoke..... lots.... of white smoke....

Ouch. White smoke from tailpipe = headgasket. Good news is KA engines are cheap. I saw one for sale from this chick I met in Athens.....Errrr. Nevermind I think she sold it.

6 bolt FTW

I like your car though Echo, and Mike's [Mr. Kidd]. Most of the rest are booty, though.
