Thats kinda of Ironic though... Mcdonalds Restaurant GM's Make 40 K plus a year w/ good benfits.. There District make between 60 to 80K a year.

More then I would say 85% of teachers.

Now granted, Entry level employees (younger kids) make between 6 to 7 an hour good for PT kids still in HS... thats low pay..

But still, when you match up a teacher with a general manager at mcdonals as far as responsibity level is concerned, the mcdonals GM makes more...

lol

You mean Lazy ass union bastard who is more worried about what they call a crappy salary than they are the children they teach. Then again if I spent 4-5 years of my life and $80k plus in Student loans to teach 1+1 I'd be pissy too. Especially those teachers who get Ph.Ds in PE or Childhood Education. 8years and $200k later you might make it to Principle after 10+ years of teaching.

If you own a McDonalds you got some bank. It costs $1,000,000 to purchase a franchise and in the history of McDonalds none have ever gone out of business.

teachers get three months paid vacation a year.

and all mcdonalds employes smell like trans fat at the end of the day.

Mcdonalds = :upchuck:

oh not to mention teachers attempt to contribute to the enrichment of a society while mcdonalds contributes to the degradation and fattening of a society.

The average national salary of a high school teacher is around $49k/year. That is the same as the average pay for a Mickey D's GM after about 20 years in the position. Later, QD.

I don't believe so. My buddy was wanting to buy one and did some research and found that out. Now yes I could be wrong but that's what I heard.

Also a McDonalds that shuts down and opens up 5miles in a more developed area does not count. That's like saying Walmart went out of business when they just opened a Supercenter 3blocks down.

That may be true, but I'm sure teachers get a lot more job satisfaction than a Mcdonald's manager does. Also, you have to wait the 20 years to be equal, lol.

I'm not wrong. What I posted was the national average. Not a set figure. Meaning some are higher(as in the people you know) and some are lower. Like you said, it's all about where they are located. Later, QD.

I know for sure teachers in Gwinnett salary goes up a $1000 a year and also depends on their level of their edu. We got one Sciences' teacher getting paid $75thousand a year and it goes up $1000 year working at the same school... and never know... you might get a chance to teach a kid that becomes famous one day...

People always bashing teachers......but when you get that 3month break it all equals out.

Let's take cherokee county teachers for an example who start out at around 39k.

Teacher starting 39k = 9months of work

McDonald's GM after 5yrs 55k = 12months of work
McDonald's GM after 5yrs 55k: 55,000 X .75 = 41.25k = 41,250

My gf is a teacher, lol.

Don't get me wrong, I would never teach and it does pay low, but for what they do, it's good money. I make more money than she does for the most part, and I'm just a co-op.
