Damn, so yeah, real life sucks! Well not really but what I mean is, Im so busy with work during the week, and then on the weekends Im either traveling or doing stuff I need to get done it leaves very little time to do the things I want like going to events to shoot, and taking on some of the gigs Ive been offered. So when I come home I see 5 grand of camera equipment sitting there getting dusty. My question is, do you think I should sell it and give up the whole thing for a while or hold onto it and get back into it later? Please keep the comments 18+

hold on to it. like..i use to play trumpet(keep the retarded comments to yourself) and i quit band because of the band director that got replaced, he didnt take a real care in the band program, so i quit my 2nd semester in HS. i really want to get back into playing trumpet, but i havent really played since HS. my still wanting to play, makes me keep my trumpet, even though, i could use the little bit of space i, but i have decided to keep it...KEEP IT

A. You probably could not get your money out of it so why sell it in the first place?
B. If your not forced into a money situation then keep your cool toys on the days you can go play with them.

If you need the money, then sell it. If you can afford it, keep it and take your shots when you can. I rarely get to drive my Porsche but I won't sell it because its getting dusty. I just wash it, lol

You do know that if you sell it then you'll instantly have the urge/opportunity to got shoot again, right? Unless you need the money, just hold onto it. You'll never know when you'll get a chance.

im sure you can get a lot for your equip, the only thing that might have depreicated is the camera body itself. i dont know what lenses you have or what you shoot with, but the prices in the market are pretty firm.

of course, i accept donations too :D

Keep it! There is not a more useful or practical hobby out there...no matter where you are or what time it is there is always a shot to be had if you happen to be bored. You'll be on vacation or whatever one day and wish you had it all!

I understand where you're coming from though: busy job and steady gf will take alot of it away...leaving little time for your hobbies. In my case I use it to my benefit, there's not a single event I pull my camera out and don't have a chick come up and talk to me :ninja:

the one who dies with the most toys wins. you cant win if you sell your toys.

I would sell the body while it's still new. And when you finally are ready to get back into it, go buy the newest one.

I say keep it, you will miss it, everytime I sell something a while later I miss it. You will probably miss just having it available when needed, etc.
