so i'm looking at intercoolers for my car.. and i came across a air to water, i have heard of them before and i wanted to know how do they work???

instead of relying on air to blow through the fins to cool the charge air, they flow aintifreeze/water through them. the are great for tight space situations.

they're nice because you can stuff them full of ice when you run.

its great the NEW STI has one from the factory, or so there was when i almost bought an 2006 STI!

they are more efficient and you dont have to worry about heat soak near as bad as air/air ic's. pack your tank with ice and you got really cold water flowing over your cooler at all times. it really helps with intake temps. thats my next step after i get my car assembled again. im air to air right now but im going for 500+ with the ability to go for 650-700 with fuel upgrades. im not gonna buy another air to air when this one starts being a hot peice of metal.
