Had a good time today. Went up there very early this morning for to try and get some shots I really wanted, but didn't get what I was looking for. Came back after my son's football game in the afternoon to get some more.

Thank you. I didn't get to actually watch too much of it because I had my son and a buddy of his from his football team. They had a great time, but I was a little nervous being on the other side of the wall from them sometimes. I would shoot and go over and hang out with them, shoot, hang out. I know that the cars seemed louder this year. WOW, they were loud.

Just the 70-200, no TC.

Where were you?I only went on the track twice, 10b-11 mid afternoon and 6 & 7 at night. Technically my assignment was people, in-field lifestyle, etc but i've come to realize i suck at that :tongue:

PS: Turn 6 is alot faster than it used to be so no where near as much flames and glowing rotors.

i am going to get my 3 35mm rolls developed today, i didnt have a special photo pass so i got all the crappy spots. also i had a crappy 20 year old Olympus.

Nice photo's Jamie I shot about 400 pictures or so...I need to get over and put them on the computer to go through them. I got some glowing pics from turn 10A and 10B. I also got most of the Corvette hitting the wall off turn 2-3. The other 5 cars, like the lowe's car in turn 7. But give me a couple days to go through them and ill post up what i got. I didnt get home till 1 a.m. But i did manage to get one of the Champange 10 Anniversary bottles they had at the end. That was kinda cool.

Yeah next weekend will be a test run to see what kind of turn out we can get. If it is good might do it once a month but time will tell.

I wish I'd had a golf cart.....:tongue1: It wasn't too bad though. I got to drive around and just do my thing. I did have to walk quite a bit though. It's alright.....I damn sure need the exercise. :goodjob:

me and the guys from work were there all day friday and all day saturday. Boss closed the shop on friday so we could all go, he even paid for our tickets!
we were on the back straight, just past the crest of the hill where we could see 10A and 10B very clearly.
I saw lots of people taking pictures, Im glad i got to see a few of them (besides the ones on americanlemans.com).
I have to say, that is some very nice photography.
