Attention all BMW owners and enthusiasts! I am the content manager at ClubBimmer.com and we are trying to shatter a Guinness World Record with most number of BMW automobiles in a single convoy. I need IA's help in getting those BMWs to this event. Its going to be OFF the HOOK my friends. Please PM me here and I can tell you all about it. No kidding, the red light district captured me. My God there are some gorgeous woman around. Anyway, I am hoping and praying for good weather for the attempt. I cannot believe the response we are getting for the record attempt. I want this record! The record belongs in the US!! :)

That is not true. Once you are officially registered with them, you can pay like $500-$600 to have a rep from Guinness there. They do not require a judge to be there, as long as I have video proof and submit all paperwork of the event results.

I already have all my official paperwork with Guinness done. I can fax anyone copies of official Guinness registration papers, and the official acknowledgment back from them.

I just want you all to know that I am legit. Thanks for your time everyone.

I say do the convoy around 285, at least you don't have to worry about anyone making a wrong turn...but then again they are bmw owners you know :tongue: j/k!

If you get 3,000 bimmers together that would be about 25 miles worth at 2 car lengths apart :D I've read through the article but must keep missing the part about what the record currently is? :dunno:

Hiya, the current record of most cars in a convoy is 269 held by the Mini Owners Group in the UK. We are going for the most # of BMWs in a parade.

Yes I've had the 308 for almost 7 years, her name is Maria. I sometimes think my wife is jealous of my relationship with my Ferrari. Its my Italian mistress. :)

Funny you mention "non red". My buddies used to rag on me for not having a red Ferrari....until they saw the black metallic on my car. Ferrari only made 24 of them in 1984. We speculate that there are about 15 left! I'll take some more pics, and will start a new thread of 308 pics for ya! :)

ClubBimmer.net attempts to break a World Record:
To coincide with the launching of ClubBimmer.com (http://www.clubbimmer.com) we are embarking on a challenge that will be a world record breaking attempt! On March 29th, 2007 the Mini Owners Group in the UK broke the record for longest single marque automobile convoy on public roads. They had a 2 mile long convoy of Minis that consisted of 269 car. This number broke the world record. We plan to challenge this Guinness World Record with BMW automobiles. I’d like to get 300 plus BMWs in a single convoy and drive on a Georgia state highway for at least 10 miles in a virtually unbroken chain of cars. There are thousands of BMWs in the Southeast region of the US, this should be an easy feat. I’d like to have BMWs from around the world partake in this record breaking attempt. We can go in the history books! BMWs must prevail!

We plan to meet at Gwinnett Arena in Gwinnett County, GA directly off Interstate 85.

We will meet at the Gwinnett Arena parking lot starting at 9:00am on a To Be Determined Date, most likely April 5th 2008. It will take about 1 hour to get everyone in groups, then first lead car out at 11:00am. Groups of 10-20 cars will depart one by one until we have confirmed approximately and at least 350 BMW automobiles have departed. With video recording as proof and evidence, we will drive in a single, almost unbroken line of 300+ BMW cars on 85 North to Road Atlanta (http://www.roadatlanta.com) That is about 35 miles drive. If we have 300+ BMWs in the drive we will break the world record!

It is MOST vital to go to ClubBimmer.com and sign up for free membership and check out the forums. I'm bringing the Ferrari to the Fast Cars at Flashback Motorworks show in Cumming this Saturday from 10-2. This is the weather I love most!

Several people have been asking me about the world record drive, we welcome BMW motorcycles but they are not counted towards the official count. BMW SUVs can be counted.

We've been getting a ton of responses, this is too cool!!You should go up to Road Atlanta this weekend, as far as i know they'll be doing touring laps but can't guarantee much speed or track time...all depends on the amount of people participating.
