Unmodified, I would say that they are not that bad on fuel mileage. When you start modding them though that is a different story. Consumption on my last 7
with all emmissions removed, bigger injectors, header & exhaust, etc. was not too bad. I would probably fiil up 2x for the week driving 30 miles each way everyday. Also I was definitely staying in the upper RPM range most of the time :D.

thats discouraging... i really like those cars but now that i know i could drive a v8 bmw and save gas while going faster (STOCK), im not too interested...

I had a 1991 FC.. Its been a REALLy long time ago but I recall getting around low to mid 20MPG..

My FD stock back in the days with min. boost, I was getting 20-22MPG.. And on the long interstate drive up to 26MPG.

My 8, I been getting 17-19 in the city and 20-23 HWY.

I saw if you are worried about gas, get a civic.

7's are fun and ****, but as a Daily Driver they are not the type of vehicle you would get yourself into.

Up until this year, I have had a RX7 for a daily since 99. Never a problem Very reliable for me, and I've had all 3 gens, n/a and turbo.
