well as of lately ive noticed that when im travling around 60mph and above my radio will suddenly stop working everything looks fine on the deck but yet no music comes out of the speakers now if i turn the volume down a good amount and wait for a few min's it will start wrking again so it;s done this for about 3 weeks now and yesterday it just suddenly stoped working all together

i put in a cd it looks like it;s playing normally but yet no sound


any idea as to whats going on?

you might have a blown speaker just because they might play the voice coil might be damaged so its sending a low ohm load to the radio which is sending the radio into a thermal protection at high volumes. Test each speaker leads ohm load.

could be alot of things, It could also be a bad internal amp in the head unit.
