My car's been making noises in the engine lately, and I don't know whether its the valves or what ?? Do I have to adjust the valves on the rocker arm and check the clearance? or is it something else? need help please.

if u start up your car and hear ticking sounds, its your valves, try adjusting them, but if your saying u driving and take up the rpm to a certain point and thats when u hear the knocking and ticking then if could be both, rod knocks and valve ticks...!

yeah its when I start the car up, and I hear ticking sounds...So after adjusting the valves, will the noise go away?...Im going to do it this weekend.

use a torque wrench, don't just go at them you can destroy your top end... most of the time when you start a car (especially a Honda) it will tick cause there is no oil in the top end and its nothing to worry about. They do make an oil filter that eliminates that if you wanna spend the money for it.

anyway, good luck and do it right!

Yup....the K&N oil filter claims to eliminate that ''dry start'' thing.
