WTB: 2 seater Go-kart frame (full cage)

For those of you who know the story about how I got the skyline (was hit by a drunk driver while on my bike). I recently got the bike back. The frame is trashed as well as everything else. but the motor is perfect and still shifts into all 6 gears. So I'm wanting to take the motor from my bike and fabricate it onto a go kart frame. I would prefer a full cage frame (not a race kart) so when I flip it on the first test run I won't die... Post pics and asking price of whatever you have

lol, I'm actually open to trade offers. Although it would take about $17k + the go cart :P But ya, I have the motor off already and I need to get the frame ASAP so I can start fabricating the turbo mani and mounts

how do you plan on shifting it ? are you going to try and make your own shifter car? if so i say go with a one seater one try those pawn shops you see around town they always have a go cart someone has pawned in come with cash and im sure he wont turn you down

Try craigslist, or consider building one yourself...if you know how to weld. Hell, you might even be able to talk one of the guys up at Mainstream (can't remember who does the welding) to do one. Also, Northern Tool Company offers kits, I think...?

If I was better with welding, I'd probably help you out. I work at Auto Technology...we have a guy up here that's considering doing the same, but we're going to weld all of our own **** for that one...

I'm 'decent' at welding but I'm trying to make this thing insanely way too fast so I would prefer a frame that was built by a pro. I can call Mainstream and see how much Dave would charge to put something together for me. Just thought I'd post up on here and see if anyone had anything laying around first lol.

And Jermaine, I still have the shift pedal from the bike, so I'm going to make a level setup to paddle-shift it. Since it's 1 click up/down to shift instead of gear locations

Just a thought on that "pro-built" frame...

If it's gonna be INSANELY fast...how well do those welds need to be? I mean...if you're going insanely fast...it won't matter on the welds. Your body will be flying into the cage either way. :)

Well insanely fast being a boosted gsxr-600 motor. Of course it's just a small t28 turbo probably running 4-5psi. But the seats will have harnesses and I want the cart to be secure enough (full cage) for when I flip it. I've already come to terms with the fact that I will die because of this thing, I just want it to be safe so I die a slow and painful death :goodjob:
