I loved my job...I worked with my uncle in Texas. Deep Sea Technologies...I helped in AutoCAD work and I assembled small parts for off-shore oil rigs.

I also had to do some ***** work...file stuff, run errands, clean the workshop...it was kinda cool though, despite the 100 degree Texas heat. The workshop was in a big warehouse complex...haha, I saw this dude do a burnout with his tractor trailer cab.

Once I graduate from Tech, I may be able to go back there. Thing is...as soon as we step into the office, he stops being my uncle and starts being a boss. That's the way it goes though. I wouldn't mind working there again at all.

Okay....sooo....lol Laugh all you want but the first time I was ever "hired" was by a woman that lived a few miles down the road from me. She had a farm and dog kennels! The woman was crazy! She use to own a LION and mokeys!!!! No s***! Well she hired me to "help" around the farm! It started out good the first week until I got told to tie the 3 male horse up to a tree and clean their goobers! I was like WTF!@! She showed me and I did it! haha I did all kinda of things, cleaned out a 4 stall barn that hadnt been cleaned in years, organized tack, cleaned dog kennels, walked dogs, and lastly flipped her golf cart on my way down the driveway to feed the buffalo! I have to say.....she was pretty pissed and I never got another phone call back for the next day! =) So $50, 3 riding lessons, and 2 weeks later, I was done!

Then the next summer when I was 16 I worked at a local BBQ place as a server, cashier, and drivethru girl! I have to say. Decent pay for the job, but I would rather shovel **** and get kicked by a horse then work with the public!!!

Now 2 years later. No job. Just odd and end things and school!! haha BUM I know!

EDIT: I have been a nanny to infants for doctors in my town for almost a year now. I started at the end of July in '08!! Right after this was originally posted! lololol

My first job i had just turned 14 and saw an ad in the paper for selling "peelers" door to door. Peelers were a local coupon book in augusta that sold for $10. I worked with these two girls that were 13 and we rode from neighborhood to neighborhood in the back of a car. It was lame, but a job.

first job was for B.H. Stumph Moving and storage. I packed up houses and loaded them onto trucks for people that were moving. It was a cool job, paid well and got my butt in shape.

Definitely wouldn't recommend it for a career. The old timers there were pretty beat up

Quit the Varsity soccer team to chase the dream of being a bag boy at the local grocery store in 11th grade. They gave me a $.5 (five cent) per hour raise after my third week - i quickly decided that i'd rather play soccer in the afternoon instead of working for nothing, and quit on the spot.

"ma'am? - i'm quitting, to continue playing soccer"

..."but you're being promoted to a stocker next week!"

"no thank you ma'am, we're playing Shaw next week. catch you later."

First "paycheck" job I ever had was at Subway. But I worked for a buddy of my dads that did roofing when I was 15. Hard work and decent money. Of course it was under-the-table pay.
