i had it running and drove it the past 3 days, but yesterday i was coming home,....maybe an 8th mile from my house, and hear two loud bangs under the hood, then a scary roaring sound from engine.....pull in the yard, pop hood, look and I have no V-belt, and the serp belt was laying on my valve cover, and the crank pulley....gone. So I found the pulley and the bolt, but am still missing the key for the pulley. Went today, and got new belts. Just gotta get a key for the pulley.

I usually shift around 6500 or so. I still get ~30mpg with the "Immortal D". It will go back down to ~27mpg with the B-series, whenever I get it together and in the car. And I usually keep it in 4th on the loop, which at 120kph is right at 4000rpm.

Its not the tires man, its the width. Those tires are much stickier than the ones you had, and I have never slid on them. I told you to put some air in them. The sidewalls are bigger, so they will bend if you don't have them inflated properly. Bendy sidewall=dodgy traction.

All, I know is you were going fast. I was only going about 85-90mph one time, then let off. I need my gas, I only get about 20mpg, which sucks. Plus I couldn't afford to get a ticket. lolz.

well what i believe happened was when you went to slow down it tranferred the weight and brought the rear around on ya. your car appeared to be stable until you got right up on the other car
