I'm sure a lot of you have heard about China possibly selling cars here. I came across the Brilliance BS6 Sedan and BC3 Coupe. I think they look pretty good!

Of course, looks say NOTHING about how the car drives. I read a review in Car & Drive over the BS6. The car lives up to its name...BS. Materials are cheap, the car's painfully slow, but the platform is solid enough. However...they're fatally unsafe.

They aren't cheap either...as if you thought that'd be the kicker for these cars. The BS6 comes in around the mid-20s and the BC3 is anywhere from $15,000 to $21,000.

I can't see these cars doing well at all here. China needs to stick with making Hot Wheels cars.

They aren't quick by any means, though that could be fixed...but more importantly, DO NOT CRASH!

This is a Chinese Chery (Chevy rip off thats supposed to debut here in 2009). The Driver pretty much disappears in crushed metal. These Chinese death traps will never make it in the States.

It will never sell. Hyundai and Dawoo were eh at first but there crash test wasnt horrendus as thought to be. Think about this, if people start to talk about how bad the car is no one EVER is gonna buy it; even given a million dollars. And plus entering a car market where there's a lot of affordable vehicels is gonna be hard.

And plus entering a car market where there's a lot of affordable vehicels is gonna be hard.

I'd buy it if they gave me a million dollars cash back...then I'd take that and buy something else.

doesnt the car need to meet certain safety requirements in order to be sold in the U.S.?

i like the lines of the bc3 as a whole.. like the roof line and wheel base and trunk.. but i dont like the front headlights and grill, and the taillights are a little ehh..

arent you a sucker for clean lines that flow?

They're selling the cars in Europe. I wonder how different the safety standards are over there.

I agree...I like the lines of the car. I think a couple of the details are weird, like those random extensions off of the tail-lights. I think the car overall is pretty stylish. The interior doesn't look bad either...but I bet it's loaded with cheap materials. I just think it looks good.

The BS6 looks pretty nice...simple shape. They're a mess to drive though.
