very expensive swap to do it the right way.

wiring harness is 3 feet too short, needs a radiator, some kind of tuning system, walbro, headgasket for any serious power.

Supramania.com would be a better place to research and ask.

Or the Supraforum.com will answer all you questions. 1jz will handle the power your looking for. The highest whp 1jz is around 800.

there have been a few blown up 2JZs here lately true. but the 2j is far superior to the 1J IMO

stock vs stock

Alot of the 2j you hear about locally are older motors out of the aristos. Mileage and condition isnt exactly always as good as the USDM motors

IF , properly installed and tuned right you wont have any issues out of a 2JZ with serious HP. As far as the 1jz is concerned for the horsepower range your looking for the 1jz should be fine. I would suggest you do some research on Supraforums.com or ask a shop that KNOWS 2JZ/1JZ MOTORS AND SUPRA INSTALLS . Also do alot of research on which shop does your install and youll be fine. I just had my Motorwork done by AAP and they did SOME OF THE BEST work i have seen to date, no issues what so ever i picked my car up and havent had a problem with it at all, you can call them with any questions you may have :goodjob: .

PM me if you need the number :goodjob:

the problem with 1J an 2J motors is that they are usually over 10 years old.

90% of them have been sitting on a dock or at a salvage yard for YEARS.

Most poeple dont think about that when purchasing a motor, sure low mileage is a plus, but if its sat for 10-15 years, seals are rotted, rust, water pumps seize, headgaskets blow or deteriate, etc.

the really GOOD JZ motors are $$$, so just be carefull where you get one from, a GOOD 2JZ is $3000+

a GOOD 1JZ is $2000+

They just got a guy named Glen who is a 1j-2j/Rb "expert" so he says... I might have him do the wiring, the 1j that I am looking at has 40k a 6 puck clutch, light weight flywheel, new water pump... ext....

REPS are being handed out!!! thanks again guys

1jz is cool... Change to the 2j Coils (change the clips) Upgrade the head gasket.. Recoment the Sard injector's... If you have to stay with the Ct12's then upgrade them to the Austrailin Ct12's there steel wheel.. ..Also your gonna want to use a FCD and Speed limiter...
