View Full Version : Where most of my last paycheck just went.
Anime Weekend Atlanta 13 FTMFW! I'm broke as hell but definitely got some good stuff this year. The girlfriend spent over $200 herself so overall, I think we did alright.

I don't care at all for anime(good art, just not intoxicating enough for me to orgasmic episodes), but I may could use some of your expertise on this. My wife and (especially) 5 year old love Inuyasha. What do you know about this as far as shit for this goes? Later, QD.

Inuyasha is a really, really long series so they will probably be preoccupied with it for a while. Are you looking for another series for them to watch?
Lol Nate, Frank told me you spend a ton of money at AWA but that is more than I thought.

Later, QD.Not sure what kind of info you're looking for, but here's a quick summary of the anime and movies.
The anime spans 8 seasons (167 episodes) and 4 movies. Never was a huge fan since all 8 seasons consist of them fighting the exact same villains repetitively and the ending was...well, not an ending at all but leaves you hanging. The series seriously ended with, "We will pursue Naraku (the bad guy) until he is destroyed. If we destroy the child that represents his heart, he will be defeated. Let's go!", and that's that. No final, end-all conflict or anything.
You can fully expect to see all 4 movies and 167 episodes brought here stateside since it's insanely popular amongst fans of all ages.
As for the manga (comic), God forbid they get into it. Each volume consists of about 10 chapters, give or take. The latest volume release is Vol.50 and the most recent chapter to be released in Japan is Ch.522. The most recent release here in the US is Vol.31. It's been an ongoing series since November 1996. The anime ended around Vol.36 of the manga, but the manga shows no signs of ending anytime soon. :screwy:
Video Game wise, there are a couple games out for different systems such as PS, PS2, and gameboy. Not sure if your wife or kid play games or not though.

Knick-knacks for Inuyasha are vast. Necklaces, plushies (stuffed animals), wallscrolls, weapon replicas, pins, figurines, toys, clothes... Hell, the list is virtually endless. If you're looking for a source for this stuff, check out Animecastle.com, animecornerstore.com, or other online vendors. Both those sources are reputable and I can recommend more if you need them.
