View Full Version : pusher vs puller fans???

I just noticed people are mounting their slim fans to the front of their radiator rather than the rear. At first, I thought it was just a turbo thing (for clearance), but I saw N/A guys are doing it too. So is there a benefit for having air pushed through the radiator rather then being pushed?

the only benefit I see by mounting the fans like that is clearance for your turbo

actually looks like it could hurt performance, b/c the fans are then blocking the air flow going through the radiator from driving.

its for more space/clearance only. as long as you have the fan wired correctly for the purpose (pushing vs. pulling) it will work the same.

I think it's the clean look too. If I had the space on the other side of my radiator, I'd set them up as pushers, too.
