If you don't know who he is you need to get your head from under the hood and read the newspaper every so often. I do not see why this isn't a bigger issue in the news but the only press its getting is that Columbia University plans to host him...

Now, from a Jewish side of things I understand the opposition to his visit but otherwise the media tries to paint him as this evil, hitler-esque dictator who hates America...

His request to pay respects at ground zero was denied (he plans to do it anyway) mind you after 9/11 Iran was an ally fighting alongside our troops in Afghanistan searching for the same terrorists that attacked us.

I am not a supporter of the guy, I really wish he would try to make peace with Israel but I do think its hypocritical of the U.S and the media to condemn a peaceful presence in our country.

i think he should be allowed anywhere in the US... it seems like a great chance for the US to calm down the tension between us and middle east. it does no good to have a media barrier with the guy. He should be able to come over here and speak all he wants. Id rather hear what he has to say himself rather than hear it thru the media sinkhole. as much as people in the middle east hate bush he takes his ass over there all the time...lol

I think it was reuters that asked him about homosexuals in Iran and his response was "We dont have that problem in Iran, thats a western problem" or something along those lines.

because there is no concept of homosexuality in Middle east or any muslim countries.. SAme sex is prohibited in Islam(religon that muslims follow)
