Took about 15 minutes.. Did not hurt... insurance only covered 15 % or so.. which was $400 something dollars of the bill... I have Eye Med as my insurance provider and honestly, I didnt even think about them.. Good thing, the lady ask me if I had insurance I said yea, But I think it didnt cover any.. she said, let me check.. she well, they do 15 % .. I said hell yeah... My bill after the 15% off was $2718.00.
After I was done, I came out of room, I felt Like I was trying to see under water.. I had someone drive me home, They told me to take I nap, I did.. I woke up after 3 or 4 hours..
I applied all drops required for the 1st 7 days.. and I now I can see...
HOLLY SHIT !!! hahahahha

THAT'S AWESOME. I HAVE THE WORST VISION EVER. 15% WASN'T TOO BAD. HOPEFULLY MY INSURANCE WILL COVER JUST AS MUCH.

We all say that.. I know my vision was all messed up... I mean, I could not see anything withing 20 feet...
You should go, test is free... and you can find out if you are good for the procedure... If you do not have the money.. They have interested free payment plans that is ridiculous not to do.. interest free also.
If you have the money, pay it.. either way , is very convinient now a days..
It took me about 2 years to think about it.. I was scared.. Brett on here got it done years ago.. he was one of the people I talked to about it in the past...
Really simple shit.

Congrats!
I have been thinking about this. With my current job, I get free contacts, so I will wait a little longer.

My eyes are probably the worst... I'm suppose to get surgery as soon as I'm 21, eye doctor said maybe sooner if my eyes keep getting worse. Even after I get lasik, I still have to wear glasses or contacts... :(
I got some ****ed up ****
grats on the lasik

Yeah, I hear ya. I can't stand glasses. I also hate dealing with contacts much. I wear my contacts for 30 days straight. That is the only way I can deal with it. I am sure I will have the surgery sooner or later.

grats on the vision! I've been thinking about it for a while as well... unfortunately for me, my eyes don't freak out when I have contacts in, so I have literally forgotten about them being in and had them in for months... it happens lol. It's no good for my eyes and my dad says I need to either go lasik or revert back to wearing glasses full time before I damage my eyes. :(
Good to know it doesn't hurt!

so exactly how does the process work. more or less are needles involved?
RandomGuy
09-21-2007, 08:17 PM
do you know what exactly is involved?
is that the one where they cut a circle from your cornea and put like a lens there... kinda like a permanent contact?
fuck that
lol i'm just mad hesitant when it comes to eyes, u only get them once lol they dont grow back lol and my vision is getting worse and worse... gotta get it checked out...
I've been seriously considering lasik, but I dont know if id be a good candidate. You mentioned it was surgical... i heard somewhere that theres some non surgical procedure people do to improve eye sight... gonna check that out too

No needles. I did research on this shit for 2 years before I did it. doesnt hurt and it took 15 minutes.
So do some research.. and go from there.
