Going down the 120 loop and I am pulling up to a red light in the left lane(open) and right before I come to a complete stop it turns green. I start to go when I hear somoene driving their car hard so I floor it. At first I thought is was an rsx or Eclipse but it was dark and after I hit second and third he was WAY behind me. We both get off the Roswell road exit and line up ant the next light.

My hard driving friend is a kid, probably 16 or 17 in a red newer style Honda Accord Coupe. 4cyl, manual tranny. While he is there shifting through his gears and revving his engine at the red light I am check the headlights of the car behind us to see if any look Crown Vicish:police: . I don't like to race on the street but I REALLY wanted to spank the shit out of this kid.

The light turns green and I step on it, my wheels begin to spin and the little yellow triangle in my tach starts blinking at me as it takes my much needed power away. The kid launches pretty well and jumps out of the hole, that was the last time his car was in front of mine.

As my traction controll shuts the fuck up my needle swings to 7000 rpms and I tap my little shifter up for second gear.....even though it panic shifts 1-2 anyway. I look out my passenger side front window in time to see the face of not just defeat but the realization that his car is not fast, not quick, not even sporty. I watched someone realize that their car was slow. I felt kinda bad, I was going to talk to him at the next light and say something nice like "good launch" but he would not even look at me.

As I turned my BOSE stereo up and let the cool breeze take my stress from the days work away I could not help but think "I wish I could have raced him in the 240".

you must have much experience in this department, being it has probably happened to you at least 200+ times in your TL. I bet it felt good to finally spank someone for a change!

you've got a slow car.. and the only prescription is.. MORE COWBELL!
