First bike search...

I am scheduled to get my motorcycle license permit wednesday.

And my friend said he has a 2001 Suzuki Katana 750 for a very good price. I was wondering if there were any people that have experience with this bike. As in any regular things to look for before purchasing this bike.

That's a heavy bike, and not the best positioning. Plus, a lot of plastics to replace if you drop it. I would suggest looking for a SV650 instead. Much lighter, and better for starting out.

i agree or get a ninja haha they look like there from the 80s but they are good starter bikes...or if you really think you can hang just go out and get a 600 just dont drop it haha
