What kinda of holster do you guys use when you guys carry that are not to bulky? Or make it seem so bulky... For a smaller 9mm?

fobus paddle holster......https://secure.fobusholster.com/catalog/images/GL3.gifthis holster, fits clost to the body(IMO) and doesnt require it to be looped throught the belt which, when using holsters like that for me, my weapon didnt feel too secure. i had a glock 17(9mm) previously and switched to fobus because of the fact that the paddle goes under the pants and there are little clips that hook onto the belt, keeping the weapon close to the body and there is no "flop" like associated with some belt holsters...my g21 doesnt flop!! oh, and i dont wear my pants down past my ass either, which helps.

Here is on of my holsters. I use this one when I am wearing clothes that are not very bulky. I only paid 15 bucks for it. I have had this one for 5 years so its pretty worn.

I carry with a Fobus paddle as well. I have a bunch, but my paddles are by far the most comfortable. I like my Fobus because it has a positive retention hold on the gun and it doesn't move around. It's easy to manipulate and stays close to the body. It also can be worn in the car with a seat belt without it bothering you.

I have some inside the pants, but I've always found them to be more uncomfortable than paddles. It also makes it a little more difficult to draw because it likes to snag a lot more.

I've worn mine even without a belt. I like them.

Uncle Mike's are ok, good for the price. Forbus paddle is the only holster I felt comfortable with, without the retaining strap. Depends really on how much your going to spend... Some of the custom made ones you forget it's there.....

I have the paddle too. I dont wear it that much because I like to forget that i am carrying and with that holster I cant use it with alot of the clothes that I wear (unless I want to open carry) and I can always tell that it is there instead of being able to forget about it

The fobus paddle is great if you are pulling out your weapon and holstering it often. The "in the pants " holster is a PIA to put back after you pull out compaired to the paddle

I use a Galco Inside the Pant Holster for my G30. It also has the shirt tuck feature. I had an Uncle Mike's in the pant holster for my previous handgun, but after carrying a few months it got worn out and the gun would slip out if tilted 90 degrees.

retail is $69.96, but I got it for $55 from the Tactical Gear Supply in Forest Park. This thing is made of high quality leather, took me a few days to break it in so that I could get the gun in and out. Fits snug and I can't foresee it ever wearing out.

The only thing I don't like about inside the pants holsters is that it makes my belt line uncomfortable. It may be a fat boy thing or just OCD thing but I don't like feeling tight.

Also, the one very important thing is the quickness of the actual draw. If it takes you 15 secs to bring the gun out because it got snagged under a shirt or with the belt, the gun does you no good really. I even have what's called a "belly band". It's designed to be worn like a girdle and it has a sewn "holster" and even has a mag holder. It goes under your clothes and you're supposed to draw by loosening up a button and sneaking the gun out or something. It's a great idea, but it too is uncomfortable and the gun is really not held tightly at all. It's like a super hide-out holster in theory. Uncomfortable as hell in reality.

Believe me, I've tried and have a ton of different holsters. The most comfortable overall to me by far have all been paddles. The Fobus one I use frequently is all plastic, which makes it really light weight. It stays tight, so there's not to big a bulk sticking out (unless you are carrying a big gun).

BTW, the Clip Draw pictured above I've seen first hand too. It's also great in theory, but the draw back IMO is that it's something permanently mounted to your gun. In other words, it won't work in your regular holsters after you install this piece because it screws into the slide and is gun specific if I remember correctly. I think it would have the same effect as an inside the pants holster.

I saw one that used a fake old school pager at the top as a "handle" and the gun/holster sits inside your pants hanging down towards your groin area. I see it at the gun shows all the time, but it seems to only work if you wear loose slacks...;)
