Rust Question??

My rear left quarter panel had apparently been is a small accident leaving a small dent before i owned the car (2 weeks ago). There is paint missing where the dent is on the wheel well lip forward the rear tire. Its the size of say a roll of dimes, and looks to be only surface rust. What should i do as far as trying to fix this before it creates more of a problem? should i just sand it down to bare metal and respray it? I've never had to deal with any form of rust on a car before and would like to hear from some of those that have been in this spot before. thanks :goodjob:

Yea man, all you have to do is sand it back down to bare metal, but make sure that there's no more rust, even a little but and just cover it with primer, or paint to keep it from re-rusting. That shit can get nasty

yeah its just a tiny patch im trying to get knocked out before it fucks up the whole rear quarter.
