So my roomate lost his license due to excessive speeding tickets. He has drive back to snellville 3+ hours away to go flying alot but obviously cannot drive his truck. I am correct in that he can get his motorcycle license after he looses he drivers license right?
Reps for help

I'm pretty sure he can't. You have to have a valid license to get a motorcycle license.

If the applicant meets the established requirements for a Class M license, and also possesses a Class C or combination of other classes of permits, that license must be surrendered and a photographic license containing the Class M endorsement will be issued. The applicant will not be given a refund for their remaining period of validity of the other license, but such endorsements would run concurrently with the Class M endorsement.
I don't think you have to have a driver's license to have a class M

The best way to do this would be to call the DMV, otherwise you'll get a bunch of ass cracks feeding you bad info. People seem to know everything about everything on IA.

i had 2 seperate licenses, one for c and one for m....atleast when i had the learners anyway.....but thats been a good couple years ago, when i took my riding test they took the learners and the c and made me one license w/ both endorsements

You're going to have to be in good standing with DMV to get a MC license. If he has a suspended license, he will NOT be able to get a MC license. Later,QD.

No chance, I know from experience (not that I ever thought anything else)

Yeah i'd actually check on that through the DMV, becauase you CAN have two seperate licenses at one time.. My friend lost his lincense due to street racing and was going for his class M, but ended up getting his regular license back sooner than planned.. So i'd give them a call to find out for sure.. You can check the ga code as well, that will be more specific.

He should get one of those kits that "motorize any bicycle". No liscense needed for a bicycle.

If he has trouble with speeding, the last thing the public would want is for him to have a motorcycle.

Any two wheel vehicle with a 50cc engine or smaller is classified as a moped. No liscense, insurance, or liscense plate is needed. But you can't take it on a road with a speed limit above 35mph.

 He doesn't possess a Class C if it is suspended.

No, he won't be able to get one. Tell your room mate to slow down until he turns 21 and can get a limited work permit for when he fucks up and loses his license.

He can take the permit test but wont be able to get his permit. They will keep his permit test records for 3 months I believe.
