the cluster swap requires a cable to digital convertor for the VSS, a driver computer from modifry.net, and quite a few hours in the DIY custom wiring dept.

it was already installed, you're right. :)

however, it was installed wrong. I had to take it back out and re-do a lot of the wires. lol ...speedo works now, btw 90ZC. :goodjob:

thats sweet man, i totally wanna see that shit in person. You're gonna have to explain how the speedo works, because i have a cable tranny now, but if that goes then i'll have to put my spare hydro tranny (yes, i have a spare tranny :lmfao:) and i dont see how the speedo will work :thinking:

you have to do an electric VSS retro on your tranny to do it right.

how much does one of those run? i priced a kit to allow a me to use my hydro tranny in my EF and they're like $150.

the cluster is fully functional now

Parts used:
Modifry.com ECS computer (controls engine temp)
OEM honda obd1 VSS (speedometer)
03 S2000 cluster
*tachometer uses same type of signal, so no conversion necessary

the adapters can be bought at DS Customs, but apparantly they don't work very well...
VSS units can be bought new from Honda for about 80 bucks... or you can get a "toolbox special" from a local junkyard for free.
