this website will help you with just about anything you or anyone with a 240sx will need
just use ur eyes. everything that is connected to the motor and chassis needs to be taken off or unpluged. then either unplug the wiring harness from the ecu and pull it through the firewall or unplug all the connectors that are on the motor. then theres 2 bolts that hold the motor to the mounts. yank it out and start the process in reverse

You forgot about draining the fluids; coolant, oil, tranny fluid, and have your a/c system vaccumed. The drive shaft and tranny braket. To remove the driveshaft you unbolt it from the differential then it just slips out of the tranny. O and to get the tranny out it is easier to remove the shifter first also. :goodjob: This is one of the most simple swap you could do.

You want me to make this REALLY easy for ya?
Because I'm so nice, the attached ZIP file is the Factory Service Manual for an S14.. the motor swap is the same. It walks you through it in easy little steps.
After yanking one out of a parts car, here's what I have learned:
-There is ALWAYS another wire or hose connected.
-The coolant will drain itself as the engine tilts back.
-Put a jack under the trans BEFORE you remove the 4 18mm bolts holding the trans bracket in, under the car.
-Remove the trans slave cylinder, wiring, and wires connecting the starter before you jerk the trans out.. makes it a lot easier lol.
-REMOVE THE FREAKING SHIFTER. That thing will bend and bend and make your life miserable but will NOT break... It's annoying.
-Try removing the intake mani before you remove the motor. Gives you a little more room to work with.
-Also remove the exhaust mani for the same reason... or at least remove the nuts so it can move freely. It kinda wiggles around the steering column (on an S14.. I think S13s are different)
- Get a 24mm open ended wrench (I used craftsman) so you can remove the EGR valve from the mani.
- Place your engine hoist as far away from the front of the car as possible. That way, as it lifts UP, it also lifts OUT. Think of it like lifting it on a diagonal instead of straight up and down.
- You will need little engine hooks. I didn't have them, so I took two bolts and put them into the block (they were AC compressor bolts I believe), and wrapped my steel cable around that. Worked like a charm, just be careful.. those bolts bend a lot.
- It's surprisingly easy. :D
Good luck! Read the factory service manual I attached.. if it's not close enough to an S13 (like I said, it's for an S14), check out www.phatg20.net and they should have an S13 one available for you to use. And they are FREE! :)
-- edit.. it's not letting me upload the file.. too big I guess... just d/l the pdf from phatg20 :)
