Hey, I just droppepd in my freshly built motor into my hatch, and now the motherfucker wont start!!!:2up:

I have a brand new starter, distributor, spark plugs & wires, ect. It's getting fuel, and it turns over, but it just wont start!

I asked my builder if he set the timing right, but I can't think of anything else that it might be.

did you do a valve adjustment? does it have spark, fuel, compression?

It has everything done on it. Walbro 255 fuel pump, im assuming its getting spark since the entire igniion system is brand new (plugs, wires, distributor, starter). The head was just fully assembled by my builder. I honestly think the only things left that could be, is the timing. and I dont know how to do it.

check your spark and listen for your pump to prime. and tell us what you find when you do that.

gotta make sure you really have spark. pull the plug wires while cranking and touch near an exposed bolt to see if you have spark in each cyliner. you'll be able to smell fuel so if you have both of those i would get the compression tester to see if you actually have compression.

even if it's a fresh motor, if the valves aren't adjusted after installing the cam you more than likely don't have compression. adjust valves, set the timing and try again.

seen it more than a few times.

Any suggestions on where I could get this done at, maybe on the weekend cause I'm at school during the week.

check the ground on your valve cover. more than likely its spark though

lmao jerry...

i had the same problem , it was my timing that was off...set the bitch to TDC , took off cams gears , made the cams point outwards , line up the mating marks making sure 1st piston is at TDC and started right up...mess with the distributor a bit too...

Don't encourage him sammie. If you were a true friend you would realize this situation isn't funny at all. The only reason you on his **** all the time is because when you ****ed his hatch up, his knocked the **** outta you. So please LYAO on your own ****ing time.

Oh ya... It was the harness. not the timing.
