I've got a set of 9004 lamps, and i want to put them in a car that supposedly needs a 9007 lamp. I cant really find a 9007 right now, so can i install the 9004 anyways?
Will it hurt anything??

The only difference for the most part is how they are wired as far as the low/high. So when the 9004 is on low, the 9007 will be on high. It shouldn't hurt anything but the eyes of the people coming toward you.

Waittt....what? So does that mean when i have my LOW beams on, (9007 in), once i replace them to the 9004's with LOW beam on, itll be equal to HIGH beam?

like...

LOWbeam 9007 = HIGHbeam 9004?

Think of it as reversed.

When 9004 is on Low beam the 9007 will be on High beam
When 9007 is on Low beam the 9004 will be on High beam

hah, wow thats pretty weird, to mi........I guess i was thinkin cuz of the # differences, that 9004 wouldve been a ''smaller'' bulb, and would take less power to make go on HIGH beam. Obviously not...

No, they are the same size. Look at a 9006 and 9005 bulb. They are the same size.

nah, when i said ''size'', i meant like the amount of electricity each one takes vs the other one....

(I can feel some confusion about to happen... )

LOL no, they are rated at the same wattage.

No, no, i meant, as in High beam electricity vs. low beam electricity....

(here it comes.....  CONFUSION....)

Hm, maybe i dont know what im talkin about.....thats most likely what it is....

Oh, you mean that there could be a problem because when the 9004 bulb is generating 45 watts and the 9007 bulb is generating 75 watts at the same time that the different current draw from bulb to bulb is going to fuck up something? It definitely shouldn't fuck up anything.

Nah, im replacing both my 9007 bulbs with some cool blue 9004 headlights. I was just wonderin if i'd short anything out or make the lights or wires smoke or burn a fuse or anything like that when i turn my lights on.

Well, like I said, it shouldn't but wire melting is a posibility if the wattages are different/more than stock.

ah, theres no worries....my cars computer is smarter than i thought

i installed the bulbs, and the headlight light on my dash started blinkin for a lil while, and then it went back to normal. Only diff is, now i dont have a HIGH vs. LOW beam anymore.
