I just got the truck yesterday. Everything was fine, today i decided to detail it.. well i got a wise idea of cleaning the dirt/dust of the engine bay.. with a water hose.. I have done it before to my other rides. I believe it might be the distributor.. I went to auto zone and on the way there I noticed a loss of compression as if it were only fireing off of 1 or 2 cylinders.. anyone have any idea that may help.. :(

Thanks Seth

general rule of thumb....ALWAYS leave the engine running when you rinse it off, Put a plastic bag or so over the distrubitor/coil packs and plug wires. I'd just leave it running for a few hours in the yard and it should straighten out. Is it 2.2 or 4.3?

its doesn't have a distrubutor cap.. it has 2 ignition coils i replaced the one that has cylinder 2 and 3 but nothing changed. I also changed the wires and spark plugs. and also changed the TPS and it helped a little bit. im about to change the other coil pack cylinder 1 and 4.. thanks again. Seth
