Yeah, no surprise here. You can keep just about anything running that long if your not ragging it out and mashing on the gas pedal. I believe 100% that its the same engine/tranny. My car has about 200k on the same block/automatic tranny and still runs like the day it left the lot. He described how he changed his oil every 2500 miles. Always fresh oil in that car. I wouldnt be surprised if it did 1.5 mil
The reason of the HIGH MILEAGE is because I travel for business very often from Miami to Seattle and San Francisco. Now thats a long ass way to drive

Lol. my old volvo had 298,000 miles before I junked it and it ran 13s.
My friend's 1984 volvo had 350,000 milles and ran mid 12s.
There is a mercedes 123 deisel with over 2million miles, and a volvo p1800 with 2 million miles.

Impressive, but certainly not the first.
First honda I've seen with that many miles though.

nah i used to talk to people all the time on del sol forums back in the day that were older people and they had well over 300,000 on stock clutches. Thats nothing, but this sounds kinda wierd.
Ive seen log trucks that have flipped their odometers twice.

Ive seen log trucks that have flipped their odometers twice.Had a boss from a previous job with a '87 911 SC with 120k miles -- he was the original owner and 18+ years later still doing track events with the original clutch disc, pressure plate, & throw-out bearings...not too bad if you ask me.

I'VE REPLACED THE TIMING BELT&THE WATER PUMP 8 TIMES THE CLUTCH 3 TIMES BUT HAS THE ORIGINAL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ! ! !I SPOIL MY BABY AND CHANGE THE OIL ( CASTROL ) EVERY 2500 MILES
DAMN!
I believe it though. And i believe the clutch part too. My first car was an 88 CRX. I got it with 236k (original). I beat the piss out of it in the mountains, burnouts, slamming gears. When i sold it at 260k, the clutch was still great, tranny didn't grind, motor was strong, etc. If taken car of beforehand, they run forever. Mine would have if i'd beat it less and kept it.

Why would he get rid of it now? Might as well run it till it dies.

guy i worked with, (still good friends) has an 95 corolla with 300k, original engine and clutch. all maintenance done on time and oil changed every 3k religiously. his previous car was an 85 Jetta with over 500k. a car will last a long time if you take care of it.
