4 FAST, 4 FURIOUS

Rumor mill:

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Sources close to the production of the three films in The Fast & The Furious series have told Inside Line that a fourth installment is on its way. The best guess is that it will show up in theaters worldwide during the summer of 2008.

The project is currently classified merely as "in development" at Universal, with no clear production start date and no announced director. However, it's rumored that the next film will reunite many characters and actors from the first three including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson and Lucas Black. Obviously the story will once again center around automotive mayhem of the most intense sort, but the rumor is that this time most of the action will be set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

As to the cars, expectations are that some familiar machinery — like a resurrected version of the blown 1970 Dodge Charger from the original film — will mix it up with such contemporary machinery as the new Dodge Challenger and classic South American muscle like the Chevrolet Opala. Also don't be surprised if Vin Diesel's character finds his way behind the wheel of a classic 1987 Buick GNX.

Got some fresh rumors for you Fast and Furious fans. According to the guys at NewHemiTech, the next installment will again revolve around drifting, with American muscle going head to head against some of the JDM favorites. Word has it that the central cars will be the new Camaro and the upcoming Skyline R35 GTR. The cast of cars will also include a S197 Mustang and the current Dodge Charger, each heavily modfied by American Car Products in Whittier, CA. NewHemiTech claims the Mustang below will be in the movie, and they also have photos of the Charger. Oh, and apparently Vin Diesel is coming back... Time will tell if these rumors pan out...

OK OK I'LL ADMIT IT I LIKED THE THIRD ONE DAMNIT!! the first two sucked minus a few funny moments but i did think the third one was way better so i'll give the fourth a shot..ps i only liked the third one cuz it was somewhat decent and wasnt a flippin mess like the first two. they were funny but nowhere near close to the real thing..not once did i see a half assed bumperless civic somehwere shit was too clean..

well i mean for what it was it wasnt bad minus the whole hulk suv, but other than that I liked it and just bought all three for the hell of it. its funny watching a supra shift like 7 times in one race and go damn near ten seconds without an intercooler, look real close man there really is a point in that movie where the car keeps losing the fuckin intercooler and gettin in back in the first movie at least they kept it consistent in the third

The F&F series, while not masterpieces, do offer a nice ball of eye-candy for those of us who enjoy the car scene.
