yeah this has been talked about for a long time now. IMO the 4 door is gross.... the Hatch is hawt though. Hatch not gonna be released for alittle while if at all i think.

2007 Honda Civic Type R - Auto Shows
Once again, we probably won't see the Civic Type R in the U.S. Pity. It's like our Civic Si but in hatchback form and turned up to 11.

BY RAY HUTTON, PHOTOGRAPHY BY MIKE VALENTE March 2006

It was a bone of contention that the U.S. missed out on the most potent version of the last Honda Civic — the 197-hp three-door Type R. And it seems unlikely that the Type R version of the new Civic will make to our shores because it will be built exclusively at the Honda plant in Swindon, England and uses the three-door body which is not offered in the U.S. The new Type R was presented in vivid yellow as a concept car, simply because the production version will not be available in Europe until the end of this year, after lesser three-door versions have appeared. The power supply is unchanged — a high-revving but naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine.

Oh, damn I remember that. Isn't it pretty much the same as the European coupe?!?!?

I remember it because there were a lot of people saying we (US) finally got the better looking version :bannana:

©hris

i doubt the US will ever see the hatch. I think that hatch in White would be sexy as hail

Not feeling the spoiler though, but it's functional according to Mugen.

if ya'll are interested, ya'll should really go to 8thcivic.com. There are a couple of ppl there that have done JDM front end and rear end conversions. And just in case a'll wanted to know, the JDM parts (fender, hood, lights, trunk) bolt right on to a USDM civic SEDAN. And they will not bolt on to the coupe without major modifications

4 door type R owns the hatch. You can ride in style with three of your friends without having a 20 minute rock paper scissors war for shotgun.
