Yeah, snip your ac belt, VERY noticible gains! I did it and will never go back!

it's not robbing any power when it's not on. maybe 1 horse if that! it's been 90+ for 25+days straight wtf. second, most cars automatically kick off the compressor when the car's at wide open throttle anyways. if yours doesn't then when you want to go fast, just press the ac button to turn off the compressor. third, i'm pretty sure you're not allowed to run your car at the track with the ac on, as the condensation that drains out from your evaporator/blower box will get the track wet and mess it up as well as make it unsafe. keep your ac. if you think cutting your ac belt will miraculously make your car fast then wake up, the car's slow....in a nice way =] there are much better ways to get power than making your car unbearable in the summer. your girlfriend will appreciate this advice, you can thank me later

AC FTW!

removing AC will help you become 3-5 seconds faster at minimum

BTW, I was just playing about snipping your a/c belt. Don't do it, simontibbett tricked my dumb ass into doing it a long time ago, and I regret it lolol. If you are going to take out your a/c take ALL of it out, you can loose a good amount of weight, but if its a DD car, and you live in a hot area, don't waste your time and comfort.

Its not robbing power when not on, but removal of all components helps for weight reduction - ie condenser, evaporator, compressor, and all lines.

^Race cars have power, most racecars arent street driven anyway so theres no point in having accesories. Also most race cars have lightweight bodied, a tubular frame, etc. etc. Power assist stops working after you get up to a certain speed. Its only robbing power from when you're stopped up until maybe 5mph.

oh so its really the weight of the ac parts that kills the time. lol just learned something new
