leave them alone, take it to my dyno and let us tune it.

vtec engagement at 2200 rpms until secondary at 5800...

there has always been talk among the a3 crowd that those things hurt performance or for that matter don't even work....

yea they are pretty much only worth a damn on the B/H series engines.... everything else only gets minimal gains with a VAFC...

Yeah. VAFC really is no good on the A3, and for god's sake do NOT mess with the VTEC engagement point, the A3 doesn't have the traditional VTEC like you'd think of, it's more like the first stage of the old VTEC-E system.

Welcome to IA, by the way. If you have any more questions just let me know, I'll be happy to answer them.

Pay a tuner to do it, if you don't know what you're doing. That's what they do.

you have a intake and exhaust, you dont need to tune nothing, ditch the vafc

^ Not true.

Tuning a stock engine with an intake, header, and exhaust can yeild quite decent results over a stock ECU.

Tuning a stock engine with an intake, header, and exhaust can yeild quite decent results over a stock ECU.I'm sure the stock ECU compensates for changes within the intake runner, air temperature, map sensor, fuel, primary & secondary 02's, etc. so i can't imagine too much of a gain...may be able to smooth out the curve though :2cents:

x2... thats why when you guys put on bolt-ons and complain about not having power its because you didn't get it tuned for your new bolt-ons..of course you aren't going to make any power if you don't get it tuned... :D

its not worth the 3hp for someone that believes he put "headerS" on his car vs the potential for him to fuck it up by playing with it
