ATTN: anyone want to take out a slow BMW?

This isn't a huge call out or by any means a fast car like some of these Vette's and turbo cars that dominate this section..but i'd like to chime in regardless of our slower car. Me and a buddy have a 1993 M50B25 325is with 170,000 miles, with gears and a tune and an intake and we'd like to see how it fairs against some other imports with bolt on's (I.e civics, preludes, hatches..whatever. We're really looking to see how the car does as we love how stout it is for a 2.5 but we can entertain small $ money runs for FUN..The car is all BMW and you can check the almost stock 2.5 under the hood if you don't believe us. It has full interior. We're looking for a good run to see what level this car is on before it gets something big

We always like fun running...so if your at any of the meets and cars go out we can line up.. But i'm looking for quick imports that would give this BMW a tough fight or loss..not cars that trap 109 hah. We also have a LS1, cam'd, tuned, headers, no cats, intake etc GTO in the family so i'm pretty familiar with how they run.

I'm all over Bimmerforums and at the meets. I am mainly at track events etc. but we put together this 325is and alot of people talk shit about 325's so we'd like to see how it runs against some imports for kicks. We rarely run the GTO but it wouldnt have a hard time putting a good pounding on a stock 6.0. Its about as fast as a C5 Z06

depends on what mods the M has but i'm looking for jap imports as I drive an e36 m and can run him whenever. Most 325's won't touch even stock M's without F.I, 2600lbs and bolt ons or spray

Yeah looked at his thread. Hopefully he'll be up for a clean run from a roll. We can do best of 3 or whichever and put some change down if he wants once we get some new front tires on the 325.

negative because the auto still negates one of my only few advantages in the race to start with. I've run G's, and Sc's..and quite a few in my 540 so I know how they run and its not quite fair to a 93 99% all bmw 170k 325is if you know what i mean...think about the numbers.

If it's near stock weight I know I can take it from a dig even with the gearbox i'm running...w/ a mild weight reduction and you'll probably be pretty much dead even but 30-90+mph runs i'd walk away :tongue:

What are you driving/mods? Weight is all stock. The car looks like a bone stock 325is with M3 wheels and a drop. Stock trim, mirrors, exhaust, bumpers etc. Only no cats/tune/home-made intake/all bmw. You'll have to best a 2.0 60ft to beat me from a dig. I said earlier I'm banking on driver skill to win and I wouldn't mind betting pocket change.

After you rebuild the engine you can just run the line to the exhaust and have an instant smoke screen ;)

well as it is, i have oil jets for windshield squirters, so i think the zipties on my piston rings melted, i knew i shouldn't have used those apc zipties... depending on how long the machine shop takes...looks like the yellow z will never be seen again. 1g eclipse gsx coming soon, and the mysterious phantom predicessor to the yellow french's mustard Z shall make it's debut shortly. but when it's all said and done...i'm still slow, and wish i had AC >_<

I always play an open game, and all those numbers are from 2 weeks ago @ Dynolab..... I can seem to pass the 400whp mark:( . The turbo doesnt build boost after 15 psi....! it just dies..! I might try a dynopack to put some load in the rear wheels to build more than 15psi....

I'm thinking the car is too light, not enough load.. lol :crazy: .

so far I have complied to race everyone who has wanted to run who will put up a fair fight....and told others with faster cars to tag along when we met up for fun runs.. regardless if their cars are inevitably going to rape mine. Feel free to tag along when we do this. I'm just waiting for everyone else to be ready. Oh yeah..you don't need much driving skill to run a 15 second car down with a mid 13's Mustang.....:rolleyes:, nor drive a stock street car in a straight line down a smooth straight piece of asphault. I pray that you in your 06 Gt can run down my stock 93 325is or god forbid your downsyndrome

dident you say you have a 2006 mustang gt, and ran a 14.5 @ 92. if so. somethin is wrong either your drivin a v6 or let off and coasted after 3rd gear. i meant i trapped 103 in my stang with just exhaust

Lets shoot for next weekend, but if not I'm in no rush and can do it the weekend after and I believe i'll be at out town that labor day sat/sun/mon (if thats next weekend) but can possible set something up on Friday.
