He is crying.

What a bitch.

That is a lesson to kids, if you do enough steriods, one day you too can achieve a record you truly don't deserve.

He keeps pointing to the sky, but God didn't do anything to help him there. That was all artificial roids.

What a bastard.

hes pointing to the sky in reference to his father, a giants legend, who died in 2003, i doubt barry is even a religious person

although i despise barry as a person, i still gotta give him props, hes stayed in that same shitty city, with the same cruddy teams year after year and never once thought about leaving, hes loyal to the SF fans, and i can appreciate that, im a life long fan, and played ball all my life on various state teams, highschool, american legion, etc, and i was mad for a while that he would break it, but you know, records are made to be broken, this records only been broken 3 times in the last 100+ years, its the most coveted record in all of sports...hell ive been recording the games on the dvr, i have 755 and 756 recorded and will transfer them to dvd...i plan on showing my son tomorrow the at bat, and trying to explain to him the significance of it....regardless if he deserved it or not....aaron has openly given his blessing and thats all i need as a die hard baseball fan

10 years ago the talk was nowhere centered around bonds, the talk was griffey jr this, griffey jr that, now only the die hard fans can even tell you what team griffey is playing on....regardless of what anyone says rhoids dont make you a better hitter, bonds is a pure hitter in every since of teh word, have you seen the shift teams put on when hes up to bat? and never once has he went out of the norm to try to sneak around the team, he knows his strengths, and thats how he has hit so many

i tell people all the time bonds, had hall of fame numbers before he went to the bay, he was A str8 5 tool player when he played for the pirates, but people forget that all they see is the barry from the past 7-8 years, bonds stole bases, hit for average, but since he has gotten old he has focused on his power, i cant hate on the man

like i said, people talked that talk about griffey, jr....now look at him

arod is a pure hitter as well, if i had to take a guess at the next homerun king he is #1 on the list for me....i love to see him hit, reminds me of a tony gwynn with power, same swing every time

Mchnhead2k5

griffey jr would have definately broken or been near 700 HRs if it wasn't for his injuries. His injuries because he doesn't take roids that heal his body quicker, which i think is another pro about roids.

tippatone
08-08-2007, 01:10 AM
he has a natural power swing, he makes it looks so easy, the reason i say he will break the record because of his durability, he is rarely if at all on the DL

yup. if griffey could've stayed injury free he would be in the race as well. injuries>griffey.

yeah i wish Griffey Jr could have stayed healthy because he used to be my favorite player in the game, and he would not have to worry about roid allegations because he is not a very big guy just strong with a sweet swing

It takes skill to hit a home run. you have less than a second to decide where the ball is going and where your bat needs to be to get the ball on the sweet spot..

its also coming at you at up to 95 mph, and keep in mind this ball will probably have a curve and a spin to it to fool you into thinking its going somewhere else.

last but not least, you have to swing a wooden bat that weighs 3,4,5 lbs fast enough to give the ball enough opposite force to get out. that is where your power comes in.

all of this in less than a second? this is why not everyone hits homers

while this is true, without being as strong as he is, he wouldnt have hit the ball nearly as far. There is a great artical comparing the early Bonds to todays bonds. I'll find it and post it up.

ive seen the pics and the stories of prebonds and now bonds.but this shiot surficed a couple of years ago.when you come off of the rhoids wouldnt your physical frame decrease in size?his hasnt. he has remained the same size, afte watching him the last couple weeks he looks bigger than i have ever seen him. he is 43, he knows this, and he knows with each year that goes by he must stay in shape or he wouldnt of lasted for the 20 years he has, he is thinking of coming back next year at age 44, come on the man knows his body and knows what he has to do to keep up with 18 year olds. he is still stealing bases, he is still hitting the ball just as far as when they say he was on the rhoids.you would of expected all of his numbes to go down, but they arent.he is the most feared man in baseball for a reason, and he deserves every recognition that he has coming to him.thats all i got to say about that

seriously though, he packed on 30lbs of muscle in the off season (which is what...5 months) at the age of 40. Naturally, that just isnt possible.

Who cares about the roids, still takes a lot of skill, and MLB obviously doesn't care too much because it is good publicity for the sport, causing higher ticket sales.Bonds puts asses in the seats,Bottom line.

homeruns are all about bat speed, more muscle = faster bat speed

stop debating this because anybody who is backing bonds right now is in denial or just plain stupid, he on that stuff if you can't see that you are dumb and to the person who says he is stealing bases naw he is no where close to being as fast as he was before he got on that stuff. he cheated and in a few years it will come out that he did and the people who are backing him now will just plain look stupid

You know nothing of baseball then. How about when Cal Ripkin broken the iron man record? Or when Ricky Henderson broke the stolen bases record? The home run record is THE record in sports, fuck yeah they stopped the game.

actually jose canseco is almost done with his next book they can stir up the roid usage thing even more, remember his first book is the one that everybody was downplaying until one by one ever person he named in the book either admitted to it, or got caught, or plead the 5th to the u.s. congress and in this next book he says he has stuff on a-rod so we will see.

bonds never has failed a test and wont. if bonds was on riods he would have gotten smaller on the withdrawl. bonds is the new home run king. and i think he will set a hell of a record for arod to catch up to. i see arod getting accusations after this next book but we will see.
