***Design the Batlground drift cars for 2008 Contest***

We need to redesign the cars for 2008. They need to be orange and black. They also need to match, but they don't need to be twins. We want to be able to tell them apart for next year. We want them to be artful, but we still need to be able to read the sponsor logos...so keep that in mind. We will paint the cars for a background and then we can do the rest in vinyl.

Post up your design and if we choose yours we'll put it on our cars next year.

It shouldn't take much more than knowing the cars need to be orange and black. The title sponsor is Maxxis. The rest of the logos shouldn't really matter just yet. That's just a matter of placement. I'm sure you can improvise for now. I'm speaking of the theme of the cars right now. I don't expect the paint scheme to stay the same either. It just has to be mostly or all orange.

BUT if you don't want to do the "all" orange scheme then maybe something like the G'zox JGTC 350z but that would be too much like the Hankook cars, which i seriously doubt Maxxis would be too fond of ;)

It's a hybrid of the LS1 and LS6 -- only arguement you can really have is in stock form it has high compression for a V8 of its size and might not the best for boosting. I'm sure the LS2 would be (re)built to match Dan's needs so not like it would really matter what stock form is. Change the cam's, a little intake work, plus fuel work and you should be able to get 500hp out of it ;)

Then as you know with Erin's, the wingless vs. winged oil pans -- gotta have that baffled 'vette oil pan, holds a quart less oil but keeps it where it should be :2cents:

Tracy, I must say that the opposing concave pattern on the front of THE RENS rendition looks pretty intimidating. The Hankook Styling is cool IMO as long as white is absent and there's a plethora of colors to accent the swirls. Sweet idea for getting a design.

Ok, so let me say this. I love the idea. I'm not so much looking for a paint scheme as I am looking for a vinyl design. Not the sponsor stuff, leave that out. I will add that. I mean I want to know the color the sponsor stickers will be so you can play with that, just don't worry about the placement. I'm looking for a vinyl design like the ones I posted...or like what my Evo had with the flames and the Hello Kitty. More like a THEME.

With the paint scheme, it needs to be simple because we crash a lot. So like the pin stripe is gorgeous, but if you think that I crash up my bumper every event almost...it's not so fun for my painter and it's expensive and more time consuming.

As far as Maxxis goes,

Chris is 4th in points, so he is in great shape (I think he only won Atlanta so far). Dan is 5th in NOPI, so not bad for him either. He has added quite a few more parts to his car this week, so he may be a big surprise to people in Chicago :)

im designing a graphic much like the team orange subie but im incorperating hello kitty instead of the bear in a "cute/cheezy" way...as for dan's car, im gonna use a different animal but same layout/look as tracys, that way there is a slight difference between them.

we got some reflective diamond plate vinyl into the shop the other day... that stuff's badass. you should get some and try to incorporate it into the design.

We have some of that, too. We also have the Cf stuff. That also looks pretty cool.

They get to see it on the car and get a sticker on the car if they have something they are trying to promote.

I see lots of people who are going to school for stuff like this or are just bored and like to do stuff like this post on IA. I figured someone would mess around with it in their free time and have fun with it. We also are designing one for a SEMA booth. So, it may be an opportunity if one goes good that we may hire the help for the SEMA car design.

ok not quite good but ill explain kind of like the falken cars but backwards sorta. with black spokes and orange lips on the wheels. insert sponsors in dessigated places..

sry about that extra boxes but was sure how to delete.. also go with the black spoke orange lip on the wheels.. the box on the bottom right what teh hood suppose to look like minus the big orange box but ya good luck hope i came up with some ideas that could work or help spin someone else minds on some ideas... g/l wiht the design :goodjob:
