went threw my saved files and found the original tutorial...
Cingular tutorial
if you have a phone from cingular that does mp3's, and you have MMS service and wireless web service, you can do this.
go to www.walmart.com
go the the music section..NOT THE 88 CENT DOWNLOADS...go to where you buy the CD's
go to a CD of your choice, select it...you will see that you can listen to a 30 second clip of the song. RIGHT CLICK IT...and select copy shortcut
Next...go to your email. for the email addy of your phone it is
[email protected] (X=area code, Y=prefix, P=last 4 of your phone number) for tmobile and sprint, to get the email addy you need to send an email from your phone to your personal email and then you can simply reply to it, but make sure you delete the whole text field before you send the reply with the link only
in the body of the email, hit enter, so there is one blank space from the top, then on the second line paste that shortcut in the message body.
Send that email to your phone.
on your phone you will get that message, with that link in it, you should be able to hit GO TO with that link highlighted. your phone should start downloading it automatically and then you just follow the directions as they come up
This has been tested on my phones, which is a motorola v551, and a motorola V3 RAZR phone, it should work on the v400, v600, and possibly the v300...all on cingular
THIS WILL NOT work on Nextel, Alltel, or verizon
this may work on sprint phones if they can play mp3's
this may work on tmobile if they do not block such 3rd party downloads like Nextel, alltel and verizon
Downloading items on cingular require you to pay or have an internet package. visit
cingular.com or review your bill to see what you have if you dont know. otherwise its at most 1C per KB used. if you are on the 1MB package, you can DL 3-5 songs and not go over the 1MB you have per month. MMS charges will also apply
